Attracting quality people to a career that no one seems to ever give up, is a no-brainer decision unless, they are admitting their own failure. The trouble is that the people who are currently attracted to a political career, do so because the pay is guaranteed and they don't have to produce to keep their political employment. 😂 A political career in Jamaica is already attractive enough. I'm glad I'm not the only one that seeing that using their narrative to say they retaining high quality justify getting higher pay is also the same narrative that doesn't make sense where they are not willing to make the same effort to pay the teachers and nurses that are on the ground to help the hospitals and to help the schools near talent and save people life. What is happening is lots of returning residents and foreigners are investing into the islands. New businesses starting up, surge if visitors to the island post covid; which fatten the wallet . I understand what ur saying but it’s not that simple. But here is how you should phrase it. Jamaicans don’t get the quality of government that we paid, and is aways over paying for if you include what they steel and is allowed to carry on. What we do get however , is the type of government we only pray for which is the kind that does what we need to do for ourselves, for us so we can be entertained all day while they (HUMANS) have our best interest at heart. Therefore, we suffer the consequences of their actions because we don’t understand our own affairs in order to call them out before mole hills turn into mountains, in other words catch problems in their infancy before they become irreversible.
