Omg, I am deeply ashamed that you, your loved ones, and the Muslim community have experienced and are still experiencing such things in Ethiopia. I left Ethiopia at 12 and now live in Europe. Back then, I only knew one Muslim person, my teacher. On a recent visit, I noticed more Muslims in the area, but there’s still a huge lack of awareness about coexistence and understanding. I always say with pride that Ethiopians manage to live together, Muslims and Christians in harmony, but sadly, this isn’t always the case. As Muaz said, “Our true character shows in how we behave when minorities are attacked and the courage we show to support them.” My sister, who worked as a teacher in ስልጤ, had to wear a hijab to stay safe but lived in constant fear until it became too dangerous, and she had to leave. It’s heartbreaking that only those affected speak up about these issues. Please keep raising awareness, I’m so glad I found your podcast. But these conversations need to move beyond Muslim channels and reach mainstream platforms to address the structural issues.

What the karma thing is about is some individuals were not only tone-deaf but encouraged the kind of attacks that Israel had been carrying out for the past 400 days. So it's like now these people know wha tit feels like to have your home destroyed.
