The unprofitable servant parable in the book of Matthew is a follower of Jesus but only in word and not action. Once saved your task is to tell those around you that salvation can be found through repentance of sin and accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. To be profitable you must lead people to the cross, if they go astray know you have planted a seed. It may feel that you fail every time you try, but have faith in the Holy Spirit to take them the rest of the way. The unprofitable servant hid the talent in a hole in the ground, this is a servant of the Lord keeping the good news of salvation to themselves and not sharing it. Matthew 25:30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
