As a girl myself i wanna add two cents to the convo about "women liking serial killers or that kinda genre of literature where the male protagonist borderline dangerous, who can and would go above and beyond for the female protagonist, to the point of committing heinous crimes (sometimes towards the female protagonist)and is extremely violent, possessive etc or as you mentioned "animalistic". The kinda relationship i sometimes read about as " romcom" can totally be passed as an episode of some true crime podcast ..its even weird bcz irl I'd never go for that kinda men.. What I've gathered from my lil research or whateveh is, a lot of different factors play into this. It's a mixture of, our internalized misogyny(from a very young age girls are fed the idea that men are inherently violent and if he hurts you it means "he likes you")and the idea that someone is willing to go as far as to break the law or societal boundaries etc bcz they just "love/like me that much" is kinda..fun? Appealing? Idk lol..but i do have problem with these kinda books being marketed towards teenagers as "romcom" tho. Books like these distort the idea of relationships for teens and puts them at higher risk of stepping into an abusive relationship and staying in it bcz to them this is what a "romantic" relationship look like.

I've always been against the idea of combining "psychopaths" to "romance"... I, myself like some of the well-written ones but nowadays it has become TOO normalized to the point where even if it doesn't involve romance, the audience seem to simp over such crazy, borderline dangerous character (not to mention, those characters are also portrayed as "good-looking" and "handsome" which makes it harder for ppl to ignore them)

@@sadia8174 yes..i forgot to mention the good looking aspect of the male protagonist in my comment. Also a lot of the time in these books the authors try to find excuse for the bad things done by the male protagonist(abuser). Like "oh ik he did some HORRIBLE things but look!! He was SAD once..poor him".some of the recent romcom books are so awfully poorly written that its hard to decipher, if this is meant to be a portrayal of an abused manipulated persons way of thinking or whatever point the author is actually trying to establish. Even amongst the well written ones, you’d find some which are clearly only psychological thriller and not romantic in any sense, being marketed as "romance" or the abuser in the story is being romanticized by fans..i dont wanna name names but one popular example on the top of my head of this situation happening is the "Killing Stalking" manhwa. Don’t get me wrong tho.. I enjoy psychological thriller, i love me some good serial killer psychopath stalker stories, abuse based stories etc..just keep these out of "romcom" genre. I think we need to stop blurring the line between romance and dangerous behaviours in literature/media.

ভাইয়ারা, অনেক আগে আপনাদের একটা এপিসোডে দেখে মনে হয়েছিল বিদেশে masters করতে যাওয়া টা undergrad করতে জাওা থেকে উত্তম। তখনও আমি H.S.C candidate. যদিও জানি এখানে এটা প্রশ্ন করার মোতো স্থান না, তারপরেও একটু জিজ্ঞেস করছি, যদি settle হওয়ার প্ল্যান থাকে, তাহলে বিদেশে(in my case Australia) কি undergrad এর জন্য যাওয়া টা ভাল হবে নাকি postgrad এর জন্য যাওয়া টা better হবে। কিছু দ্বিধা দন্দ যেগুলো আমি face করছিঃ ১। Undergrad দেশে করলে ভাল হবে কারন, একজন student এর এ বয়সে অনেক কম idea থাকে। এমতাবস্থাএ দেশে undergrad করে একটা portfolio আর network বানিয়ে এরপর বিদেশে masters করতে গেলে better কিনা। ২। আরেকটা কথা হল বিদেশে undergrad টা করে অন্যদের থেকে অনেক বছর এগিয়ে থাকা। দাত কামড়ে ধরে hardwork করে ফল টা আগে পেয়ে যাওয়া। Point to be noted: আমার শেষ লক্ষ্য বিদেশে স্থায়ী হওয়া। এখানে আমাকে একটু insight দিলে অনেক helped হতাম।

I am a girl but I don't like gold. And for pink represents femininity like rose, romance, charmness. So it's some historical background. Normally Men aren't used to pink. In Bangladesh's perspective, pink is not suitable for brown or dark coloured and so it's become a taboo.

if you can identify someones potential of being a serial killer you can prevent it by securing a good environment for him. Even if certain genes can increase someones chance of being a serial killer there are so many other and much more important factors for him to actually be a killer. So its not a good strategy to kill a person. Use the gene to identify him quickly and then give him/her counselling or something... like how we have been preventing hundreds of diseases by identifying them in their initial stages and take precausions.

আমি একটা মেয়ে মানুষ , কিন্তু আমার গড অনেক খ্যাত লাগে, আর আমার গোলাপি রঙ অনেক অপছন্দ ! তো এইগুলা কিছুই না ! কিন্তু এইটা সত্য যে আগে কোনো ছেলেকে গোলাপি রঙ পড়তে দেখলে অদ্ভুত লাগতো , আর এখনো কোনো মেয়ে বাচ্চাকে যখন জিজ্ঞেস করি তোমার প্রিয় রঙ কি, তখন আমি ধরেই রাখি যে উত্তরে বলবে লাল অথবা গোলাপী, এবং বেশিরভাগ সময় তাই হয়, আমার মনে হয় এই গোল্ড বা রঙ এর বিষয়টা সায়কোলজিকাল, মানে জেন্ডার ভেদে পছন্দ বা অপছন্দ ও বোধহয় আলাদা হয়।
