I had one, American made, rectangular form, magnesium fire starting tool that my South African friend gave me as a small gift back when I was working in London. Only tried to work it out years later back in Lithuania and I was surprised how easy to use this is and how effective it is. On my first try I managed to set a tiny pitch of dried grass I found out outside right where I took this tool out of my pocket. I am not into prepping, but those that are should for sure get one, I am sure these don't cost that much.

Did you end up getting one? If so how do you like it? I was thinking of picking a few up for some different kits. Thanks in advance

When is someone going to make one of these tutorials and actually make a fire? I want to see the finished results, a blazing campfire.

Wow, you know nothing about how to make KZbin videos! This simple, seconds long, video should have been stretched out into at least 25 minutes. Where is your face in this? How am I supposed to understand how this works without at least 15 minutes of the camera aimed at your face and you talking about how simple it is? Some road noise in the background would have been nice too. /s Seriously, thanks for the simple video. Well done!
