I so miss you videos where you tell stories, or just talk more, you've got a very soothing voice and tell very interesting stuff. Not mentioning loving your art, it's so pretty.

I loved watching you build up a portrait from nothing! We usually see the line art stage, so getting to see what it begins as was a treat. I love both drawings! You pointed out a mistake in the beige one, but I actually felt very drawn to it when you were done. I think both of them look really soft, and to have done them without any stage where you could easily erase mistakes... I'm so impressed!

Thank you! It cannot be painted over like gouache, nor can it be easily erased with an eraser, so I really concentrated on drawing it😎👍

Hi Kaiteki. Jim from Madrid, Spain (a fellow artist and a New Yorker expat living abroad). I just found your channel on KZbin and I liked the drawing using F-C Plolychromos (same coloured pencils I use). I'm a wildlife artist and I also do Plein Air and Urban Sketching. I also use a mixed media approach to drawing (graphite, charcoal, coloured pencils & ink) and I paint with watercolors and gouache. Since you asked in your video, I just wanted to explain that here in Spain (and in Europe) Hahnemuhle is one of the best types of paper, alongside Arches. For sketchbooks I use: 1. Hahnemuhle Nostalgie as a mixed media sketchbook (it holds up very well with all dry media, as well as with inks and light watercolor washes (line & Wash technique). 2. I use the Watercolor 100% Cotton Hahnemuhle sketchbook just for watercolor and gouache paintings when I'm outdoors. In the studio I find that Arches (Cold Press & Hot Press) large sheets of paper are more economical than Hahnemuhle, but Hahnemuhle is a very good watercolor paper (100% Cotton). Their Tanned paper (tan & grey) is a bit lighter in colour than the Strathmore 400 series for sketching. I prefer this last one (Strathmore) because my drawings using blacks, whites with sanguine colors or with ink or with coloured pencils come out better in the mid tones). Hope this information is helpful. Cheers from Sunny Spain! 😁👍😎✌

I am glad that you, as an artist, are here to tell us about paper! Thank you very much for the great and useful information!🥰🙏💞
I would like to see multiple elements. I would be in favor of a very early sunrise where you can still see the moon. Water and wind and animals. I once saw such a beautiful natural spectacle where I saw the sun rise very early in the morning and the moon was still visible💖. That was amazing and incredibly beautiful ❤❤❤

🌺Merci beaucoup pour cet agréable moment artistique et ludique passé en votre délicieuse compagnie chère Dame Kaiteki 🌺🦋🌺
,🙋Great work! I especially liked the second one. Thanks for the video 👍 now it’s clear how to work with pencils, I love drawing with them, but I don’t have enough practice to achieve such a result.
Sensei I don't know anything about painting techniques but the way you hold the pencil between your fingers instead of with the tips looks somewhat more difficult to me
