Rasbora is one of the popular Traditional Bengali Pitha Recipe Specially made during Poush Parbon in Winter. In West Bengal we make this Rosbora Pitha during Makar Sankranti Festival. It is one of the Popular Bengali Sweet Recipe. Famous Bangladeshi Pitha Recipe.
Ingredients of Rosbora:
Biulir Dal / Urad Dal - 100 gm
Sugar - 2 cup
Green Cardamom
Fennel Seeds
Methods of how to make Rasbora:
1. At first add the soaked lentil in a blender jar and make a smooth paste by adding water slowly.
2. Now add 1 tsp fennel seeds and beat well for 7-8 mins.
3. Add 4 cups Water and 2 cups Sugar in a kadai.
4. Start boiling on high flame till the sugar melts.
5. After the sugar melts boil for another 5 mins.
6. Now add Green Cardamom.
7. Boil it for another 10 mins on high flame.
8. Cover and let it sim to keep warm.
9. Heat up oil on high flame in a kadai and turn the flame to medium.
10. Add the Fritters, if they are beaten well then they will float.
11. Make the Fritters big or small as per requirement.
12. Fry them on medium flame till golden brown on all sides.
13. After frying put them in a plate and add in the Syrup.
14. Let them soak for 10 mins.
15. Make sure the syrup is warm.
16. Your Rasbora is ready, now serve.
