🎹 S. Rachmaninov - Vocalise Op. 34 No. 14, arranged by Zoltán Kocsis
The latest in a long line of piano transcriptions I've recently added to my repertoire, and undoubtedly one of the most beautifully sorrowful (and painfully delicate) I've had the pleasure of tackling so far.
This arrangement of Rachmaninov's Vocalise has such rich harmonies and polyphony that it overwhelms me just deciding how to voice every chord and supporting line. The pedalling in itself is a challenge, subtly changing frequently enough to avoid muddying the progressive harmonic changes, while "catching" all the notes of the often widespread chords in a single pedal 😅

Congratulations... By 6:03 it felt like B note in the left hand should be natural.

Thanks! I guess you mean the “D sharp”, could sound nice natural too. I double-checked, it’s correct though 😅 but i also changed one or two notes which I personally felt sounded more magical 🤫
