Chairman Go wanted more for Jinwoo. He wants Jinwoo to lead the troops long after he's gone. However, Jinwoo was right to stay in the dungeons. He's a field commander instead of an office administrator. Chairman Go never considered that until he received Jinwoo's response. Made the old man was to re-enlist.😂

I loved this episode so much this is the most hyped that I have been for the next episode yet in this season. I almost feel like grandpa chairman, as he said “cancel all my events/meetings for the day as I want to fully enjoy this feeling, and I’m also going out to drink.” That was sweet to see how Jin-woo did inspire this 80 year old man. Also I love the world building that was shown here. With how S ranks get declared and the process which happens afterwards. As well as the industry around it with everything from dungeon clean squads being more specialized. With a specific group which handles the mining and loot aside from the main strike team. Combined with how an auction market exist online where people can bid for different artifacts. But what I loved the most is seeing Cha Hea-in finally meeting with our MC. As I love everything about her so much🥰

So basically, S-rank means literally off-the-scale. That explains why they don't record any higher ranks despite there being some clear disparities in power between S-ranked hunters. Also a good way of explaining that Jinwoo won't need to worry about people noticing him gaining even more power at this point - mechanically there's no way to observe any further increase. The lore on industrialisation of higher-ranked dungeons is cool too. Of course high-ranked hunters aren't going to want to do their own mining, and even if they did there's too much to collect. I wonder what the rules are on time-limits - do they keep collecting up to the last hour before it hits dungeon-break, or do they leave a generous safety margin?

I guess the main deciding factor is how quickly they got to and in the dungeon. The quicker you get it and go inside, the more time you have to mine. I'm not sure if it's just a red gate thing, but there should be a time difference from inside and outside the dungeon.

They don't fight the boss until they've mined. the dungeon won't close until the boss is killed

@@DrakeAurum they try to get to the dungeon early. Also, Dungeon breaks can be "slowed" by destroying all the grunts. They occur when the "magic" in it gets beyond a certain point, not just from the time. Remember, they measure the mana coming out of it. The Mana waves inside are constantly flowing, and , while the intensity doesn't get higher (making a B rank dungeon an A rank) the Mana also isn't dissipating, it is collecting against the "gate" until it becomes a 2 way door. If I recall correctly, they show this a bit in a scene after jeju Island

I am indeed glad Sung Jinwoo has enough sense to understand he could no longer hide the fact he was S-Rank. Honestly, I wish this had been done sooner but better late than never, I suppose. Having Baek Yoon Ho, Go Gunhee, Cha Hae-In and Choi Jong-In have their names dropped is a good thing, as well as to see how Hwang Doonsoo was doing after Sung Il-Hwan beat him. I am curious as to how our boi may have friction with the other S-Ranks. He might get into trouble. Also, it is interesting he mentions the Boss within this dungeon might be one of the strongest enemies he has faced yet, stronger than Vulcan or Metus. Time will tell as to how it compares to someone like Baruka, though.

He didnt do it BCS it was risky to him... He knew there will be a big target on his back once his strength fully gets out... so he wanted to be ready and ANOTHER big thing how it would look if he was doing his 2nd reading when he was aroud B level and now displaying S level quality so they reevaluate him again to be S... being twice reawakened never happened nor did being able to lvl up... and if that got out... Think everyone from the whole world would be targetting him and to get there some would try through his family which he is trying to protect in the very 1st place

I think it's because he knew he couldn't hide it anymore could with he wasn't S rank before he went up 75% of the tower. He was more like high A rank. The tower really pushed him past the line between not just A and S but S and SS

​@AHBrandonReviews coming from a new reader perspective id like to point out that his father couldn't have been one of the 10 S ranks before he disappeared. We definitely would have heard about that before and there would be the "his dad was so strong so how is he so weak" questions. Which begs the question how did his dad get to be an S rank strong enough to one-sidedly beat hwang dong soo. Just sharing what I thought as I was reading it the first time.

E2 was my favorite of S2 for one scene. "That wasn't a request! Six of my guild members died in there and it falls on me to find out what happened to them. You will tell me immediately!" "True, but I also saved the other two of your guild members when I beat the boss. Doesn't it also fall on you to show me the proper courtesy first?" Loved that. A war of willpower without fighting. Loved that scene - he was exhausted at the end of S2E2, and the other guy was condescending because he thought he was more powerful than Jinwoo. But now, people are introducing themselves and he ignores them because he doesn't give a flip. He's sticking out on purpose and being abrasive on purpose. I like that he marches to the beat of his own drum, but he's messing up other people's beats just because he can. I see that as bad behavior, antithetical to his aims, and I don't see what he hopes to gain from that.

What I like about this series is Jinwoo stops trying to hide his progress early on in the story. If there's 1 trope I despise in fiction, it's the overpowered main-character trying to hide their power-level. I am not a fan of that. And that's why "Solo Leveling" is fun. He's not trying to hide anything anymore.

Seing the manwa panels animated does so much for the action scenes, because you get to see how they move and the differences between individuals. Cha Hae-In is nicknamed "the dancer", I can't wait to see her animated :)

Like you said, I really like that Jin Woo realized that he is definitely looking super suspicious, but he also clearly does not realize the extent to which he has been investigated by just about every agency and group he's come across. They left out something small this episode, when Jin Woo and Go Gunhee were talking, Jin Woo was considering the offer to work for the association. The reason he declined was because the association has C, D, and E rank dungeons. The top 5 guilds have all the B and A rank gates, so Jin Woo saw he couldn't grow anymore if he worked for the association.

Sung Jinwoo kinda still a monkey brain trying to sell something 3-5 times better than anything on the market just because he needs money. Part of it is due to his poverty lifestyle and not knowing the market prices of stuff. The big clue should have occurred to him when the sword he had gotten from being abandoned was worth millions of won and it was like a third as good as his lowest tier knife. As well as not noticing that he could sell weapons, just not the potions or other consumables. This was kinda the hardest part of the manhwa for me to read as I keep every piece of loot in games and do a lot of research on markets and only sell what I deem truly worthless.

So, my theory as to what may happen next to Sung Jinwoo and the S-Rank Girl Chae Hae-in. Jinwoo tries to explain himself, she realized he indeed not an E-Rank. Then maybe the gate opens and they somehow get forced to fight against the Boss. Or Jinwoo persuades them to go and fight the Boss together. Maybe Jinwoo says "I'm gonna fight the boss alone" and she says alone? She'll probably say that he should wait until the others arrive.

The reason he never reassessed himself earlier was stated in season 1, it was to protect himself because a hunter that keeps growing as never been heard off that kind of attention is not good. The Political aspect of that on a global level. Since they don't know how strong he could get A rival country could just nip him in the bud before he's a threat when he is S rank. (hunters are the new nuclear deterrents). It is easier to just get stronger on his own and then say he reawakened as an S rank.

keep in mind jinwoo just barely touched S tier when he left that red gate comparing himself to lion guy. now add to that the experience of +75 floors. yea he busted now. its just a little unfortunate that, the manhwa was already quite condensed, and skipping through his grind will take away from the impact when his power and status is finally revealed to the world. if i had to compare between sources, the extra chapters showcasing jinwoos hidden progress wouldve made everything so much more worthwhile
