@@dryash866 Cinema is an art. What Rajamouli does is what the majority of Indian audience wants and that is these mass action films. I feel like cinema is meant to be experimented with new ideas rather using one formula and making a lot of money. Cinema is not about money and of course Cinema is entertainment as well but Rajamouli, in my opinion, is quite afraid of risks and rather make these masala flicks which will gather all the quick money. He is better at building a magnitude and scope but in terms of an actual art form, no. James Cameron and Steven Spielberg only applauded the Cinema because it won a global appreciation and won a lot of awards outside of india. In my opinion, Satyajit Ray is the GOAT of India, he is regarded as the greatest filmmaker of India but sadly, our people don't recognize his talents

What I observed after watching all his movies 1. most of the stories were mediocre. 2. in each movie he makes sure that he selects stories which is apt according to actor strength. 3. He won't repeat same kind of story line. (mostly. not sure if there is any repeting story line apart from sequels ) 4. his story telling skills incredible and feast to watch. 5. Screenplay and detailing are his biggest strength.

It's great to know about Rajamouli Sir and the way he carries himself and who is he when it comes to movies. Wonderful learnings!! BUT.... With due respect to Rajamouli sir, all his colleagues, his mates and his fans....nothing personal, I think it's too early to show about him and how he takes movies... There are many other seniors and legends who has created wonders... like Kamal Hasan sir, who is an encyclopedia of movie industry, who has created image in various languages in 1990s itself when there was no PAN india, and there are many if you look at.... I am not faulting anyone here, but for Rajamouli Sir, no doubt he created wonders, he will create more wonders...which will be unimaginable by us, then many more people to talk about those...what we are seeing are shown already, seen in various interviews already and just repeating here in a new format, it's too early to show about him. If Netflix want to do something, then first bring people like Kamal Hasan Sir, Amitabh sir and similar legends who are there now since 4-5 decades and get the people to talk about them....by that time Ramamouli Sir will be breaking world records multiple times and then people will talk!!
