Very interesting. Have heard that experienced Captains seldom rang Stop during manouvering instead either Stand By (Dead slow ahead) or Finished by engines (Dead slow astern) indicating which direction most likely next order to speed up response. Stand by only used at sea and Finished by engines often communicated via phone.
