Το Σίσι βρίσκεται 26χλμ δυτικά του Αγίου Νικολάου και 41χλμ ανατολικά του Ηρακλείου, σε μια εύφορη πεδιάδα με ελαιώνες πολύ κοντά στα Μάλια. Είναι ένα ήρεμο παραδοσιακό ψαροχώρι με γραφικά στενά και όμορφες ψαροταβέρνες, με πιο χαρακτηριστικό αξιοθέατο το φυσικό λιμάνι του χωριού που θυμίζει μικρή κλειστή λιμνοθάλασσα. Οι ακτές γύρω από το Σίσι είναι κυρίως βραχώδεις, αλλά δε λείπουν και μικρές παραλίες. Επειδή η θάλασσα της περιοχής είναι συνήθως ταραγμένη από τους συχνούς βοριάδες, η μόνη προστατευμένη παραλία μέσα στο Σίσι βρίσκεται μέσα στο Λιμάνι.
Sissi (or Sisi) is located 26km west of Agios Nikolaos and 41km east of Heraklion, in close proximity to Malia. It is a peaceful traditional seaside village with narrow streets and beautiful taverns; its trademark is the natural harbor with the deep green calm water. The coastline around Sissi is mainly rocky, except from a few small beaches. Moreover, the sea is usually wavy. Thus, the only beach in Sissi town, where you can swim protected by waves is located inside the harbor (Limani). It is a very small beach with a few umbrellas and showers. If you want to visit another nearby beach, you can head eastwards until you meet Harkoma bay with the well organized beach of Boufos. It is sandy and open to the winds. Next to the beach, you will find the smaller beach of Avlaki, formed at the exit of a narror bay.

My wife is from the Stavros /Kalathas area, every time we go back I want to stay and live there but she brings me back down to earth and explains how difficult it is (but I can dream ) 😊
