She was the one who recruited µ's after all. I call this the "Defective Protagonist" (anti-hero) who needs for instance a helmsman (actually the "Lancer" trope I'd say, and the Decoy Protag as I just found out) like Honoka and an engineer like Maki. Happened again in Sunshine, with Mari as this defective protagonist and anit-heroine who luckily got a second chance thanks to mainly helmswoman Chika and engineer Riko. She even needed an extra recruiter ("Chessmaster"), Dia. Older examples of that type of protagonist are Anakin/Darth Vader in Star Wars 4-6 (where Luke temporarily gotta take over, before Anakin takes back his protag position when he's throwing down the Emperor), and Oracle from Matrix. And I'm wondering if the authors have already planned this for Nijigasaki's anime.

I know that Bokutachi is the song most remember and don't get me wrong, it is a good song, especially with the lyrics. But for some reason, this is the song that always gets me. Maybe it is the combination of the happy song and dance with knowing that after it ends, it will be over. Maybe it is just the story around it (like with the Aishteru Banzai in the season finale). I don't know. But I am glad someone uploaded it.

Yep, this is the last gift of μ's to school idols so it indeed makes me sentimental because from 0 audience, they came up to this point where they're influencial enough to literally save LoveLive. (Because in the anime, without something as grand as Sunny Day Song + μ's disbanding means LoveLive isn't popular enough to continue holding competitions in Akiba dome.) Literal goddesses.

I saw the movie in theaters when it came to the US and I was about to graduate Highschool and... like... I consider seeing this movie the last thing I did as a kid. This is the one song that makes me cry without fail every time. I grew up through high school with the Muse girls and like now I'm almost 23 and I'm like........ what. This song carries that bitter sweetness of growing up and moving on to different things and trying not to cry and saying good bye to your friends.

...and at you, Honky lol. Perhaps all three originals. Cause the film starts with Little Honoka attemting to jump over the pit, with Umi and Kotori also being around. And from the background we're getting to here a certain "la la laa laa" from some other kids, which helps Honoka calm down and fulfil her jump. The same melody that later would return as Sunny Day Songs's chorus! Honoka or the whole original trio must have remembered it and must have told Maki. In µ's final live the seiyuus even refered to that and made the audience sing along if you remember, before they together performed Sunny Day Song. Now - there's a thing called "early music education" for kindergarten kids. What if Honk heard such a group of kids...and what if Maki was amongst those kids, practicing some singing? What if Honk then told Maki about that song that she remembered? Since she's not that much of a skilled musicial she had some problems recalling and singing it properly... and all of the sudden Maki began playing along, with her signature one eye wink, for she remembered too? And so they found out Maki must have been amongst these kids whose rehearsel Honk was hearing back then? Bonded by music from the very beginning? -So far only another neat headcanon of mine of course lol-

@@unreallyhooman Same, but the cover pic does involve μ’s as their color was used as the base color, symbolizing that all of this couldnt happen without the foundation they have built beforehand. I think it comes full circle that their dreams of making Love Live and the school idol franchise successful as well as uniting all school idols was achieved despite their departure from the genre. To that I am satisfied enough :)
