@GamesExposed17 күн бұрын
ya but it also has russian culture undertones because the game was made inspiring from the stalker concept in andrey tarkovsky's movie a russian, movie which is inspired from roadside picnic by the Strugatsky Brothers who are russians. The stalker games community as a whole appreciates general slavic values which includes a lot of russian memes and songs from kino and others which were played in Zone FM in Stalker Anomaly mod. It's a shame that what happened happened and now ukraine removed the russian stuff from their game.
@jackal8236Күн бұрын
As a Ukrainian, I’ll tell you this. Perhaps a little russian could be appropriate. And yet, the game takes place on the territory of Ukraine and I believe that in our country we should switch to Ukrainian rather than russian. It's like play Metro, the game about russia so the language is russian, but Stalker place in Ukraine. I personally wouldn't mind a little russian language or memes, still the game has a post-Soviet spirit in it, but nothing more. plus, due to the current events in Ukraine, the russian language and content are treated very harshly. @@GamesExposed

@@mewwwmio I translated and everything is clear. I am from Romania so my language is latin based but we do have some slavic words too but we write with latin alphabet. I listen to russian, belarusian and now ukrainian post punk music. My favorite russian band is Kino. My favorite russian movies are Stalker, Kalashnikov and Spacewalk. My favorite russian writer is Dimitry Glukhovsky, the writer of the metro book series which inspired the metro games. but I also like the strugatsky brothers which wrote Roadside Picnic. I think we wouldn't have stalker or metro ukrainian games without russian writers who made works from which the ukrainian developers inspired from. Therefore I think it's hypocritical to delete russian stuff from the game and the fact they refuse to sell the game in Russia. Gamers don't want war and it would have been a good way to attract more russians to not like Vladimir Putin's actions actually. Anyways I bought both Stalker II ukrainian game and Atomic Heart russian game. I will continue to like both cultures and be friends with gamers and artists from both countries. if you mean the war, ukraine is losing territory every day on th eastern front for like a year and even the ukrainian kursk offensive was counter attacked and the territory is much smaller now. I think there will be some negotiations with some compromises. I didn't upload this video to support war or anything like that. I uploaded it because I like video games and the stalker video game series along with this pust punk music that is on the radio. I also liked the russian songs in the previous games like from Zone FM in Stalker Anomaly mod. @ idk know about all that; you can try to tell the developers that when they literally went out of their way to incorporate the Ukrainian spelling of “Chernobyl” as an act of defiance. Russia started an illegal war and thousands of innocent Ukrainians are suffering and dying needlessly because of them.
