Man the passion and dedication put into stuff like this from unpaid modders really deserves more love and attention. My only gripe with most of the reloads is the call of duty style throwing and dropping of the magazines. Personally if I was a stalker in the zone I wouldn’t throw my precious mags on the ground unless my life depended on it. With that being said, these animations are absolutely stunning. If I knew how and had the capability I would totally dedicate countless hours of my free time creating the same type of reload mechanics implemented in Escape From Tarkov. A quick reload where you drop the mag, and a normal reload where the mag is kept on your person. I’m surprised no one has experimented with this seeing how the addon mags redux is pretty popular. I can’t even imagine playing anomaly without it at this point.

For me bas feels like cod rather than stalker with all those fancy lookin animations, throwing mags everywhere, jiggling like main character has parkinson disease , wierd gun customisations and out of place weapons. Gunslinger is way better imho. Models and textures are well made with equal style that has this unique stalker vibe, they look like they belong to this world. Animations are probably best in modding community, pretty much realistic, minimal jiggling, really good attention to details. Cant wait for Improved Weapon Pack which is made on Strifer's animations and has way more guns than original mod.

The only problem with those PKM machine guns is problem with not enough ammunition being present among loot from the enemies or available in traders. And that's bad, considering that you are supposed to fire lots and lots of them, it is a machine gun after all...

the remington 700 is my favourite gun in the game, but my least favourite reload animation. Whenever I see it, I just cringe. It's like the mag has bullet magnets in it and he's just kinda lowering it for all the bullets to magically place themselves in the mag

A little bit of correction, actually the AK-5 actually have gas pistol and operate exactly just like AK family, like the Sig family which was heavily inspired by AK family but have new things in order to fit to Western style like bolt holder and more picatiny rail, i think you should put the AK-5 to the Sig style weapon more than AR-15 style.

I remember back when my only wish was that someone would do better animations for the vanilla weapons of Call of Chernobyl. Now look at it. Jesus fkn Christ... Props to everyone involved in these projects. Huge thanks. Now i can only imagine how much better this game would be if mappers would expand the world into one big Zone rather than divided sectors, and add a few drive-able ATVs and motocross bikes with anomaly detectors mounted on the handlebars for good measure.😵‍💫

No more "wrong-handed" reloads (reloading with the shootin' hand instead of the support hand)! Unless it's a front-heavy gun or has an action/stock that justifies it, that is. No more ditching mags! Unless an emergency reload is justified (and it's called that for a reason). Tactical reloads are preferable to emergency reloads. And if you do ditch mags, you should be able to scrounge them back up after the battle. No more "Wick flicks!" Unless you're allowed to choose when to do an emergency reload (a Wick flick being a type of that) and are allowed to scrounge mags back up. No more open-handed reloads with pistols! No more grasping handguns with the hand bent outward for no reason! That CoD crapola doesn't belong in the Zone. No more flipping shotguns upside-down or cockeyed while loading them! No more unnecessary cocking of pump-actions while topping off the mag with a round in the chamber! No more Hollywood malarkey-go-nuts! But I'm GLaD that we can aim grenade launchers. And combination sights rawk! Just had to get those gripes out of the way. Assume that these gripes are universal, not limited to any one game, mod, or series. All those belt-fed monster machine guns are awesome! As a safari hunter who enjoys the sport of hunting big game in the Zone, I'd like to see a short-barrel RPD that can accept a GP-25 (or any GP-series grenade launcher). Or a Saiga 12 or Vepr 12 that can accept a GP-25. Or an Ares Shrike, AA-12, or USAS 12 that can accept an M-203 (or any comparable launcher). Or any of those with an integral launcher. Or, get this, a KS-23K with a top-mounted GP-97 (or top-fed, side-break, breach-loading launcher). Or a "Groza 12" with integral launcher. 5:47 There's an example of a gun that justifies a "wrong-handed" reload because of the nature of a bolt-action with a standard "wrist" stock. 8:09 THAT impresses me! Not many games or mods correctly depict the hammer being cocked on the RPG-7. Movie people are always seen holding it or using it wrong. The only movie that gets it right, that I can think of off the top of my head, is 'The Beast' (aka 'The Beast of War'). 8:59 If it has a forearm, then what's the point of not grasping it by the forearm? 10:18 That's one of the correct ways to do it. Chamber-loading is the most optimized technique to get a full load (mag + chamber) with any fixed-tube gun regardless of action if it's a side-ejector. If it's a bottom-ejector, it should be done as shown. If the animator doesn't feel like depicting a chamber-load, it should be done as shown. Load one round into the loading port, cycle the action, then load the rest into the tube WITHOUT cycling the action again. Yes, I do find it insulting that I have to point that last part out. Most games get it wrong, so I'm not singling anyone out here. 10:30 Why's the KS-23 wrong if it was done right with the MP-133? Also, if a KS-23 with a 20" barrel had a mag tube that fit flush with the barrel, it would hold at least two more rounds (5+1). Otherwise, the short-barrel version with a 14" barrel (which flits flush with the short mag tube) would be ideal. 10:42 Who would ditch a mag that still has shells in it?! I just don't get that! Why do people think that looks cool?! In pop culture, when incompetence becomes "tradition," a trope is born. When it's practiced IRL, especially with firearms or heavy machinery, it gets people killed. 11:01 It's called "Nerd," but a true nerd (like me) would want to use the most optimized technique. Ergo, they wouldn't be ditching mags willy-nilly. During an emergency reload, sure, but that's an extenuating circumstance. 11:20 The version with the removable stock. Does it have the stock on it or is it left in stockless pistol grip configuration? 23mm is unmanageable without a stock, so I hope the stock's on it.

I'm making a stalker series on my channel and all of my videos look fine in game and while I'm recording.. but when I export the video it's super fuzzy and pixelated... and it's only doing it with Stalker Anomaly.. I've tried finding solutions but everyone just says that it's the engine of the game and I haven't found a solution. Obviously by watching your videos it's possible to have clean footage. They are all well done. Meshes are well detailed, textures are crisp, and animations are clean. The people behind these should feel very proud of themselves. However in my humble opinion, there are too many modern and "tacticool" weapons for my taste. When I think of STALKER, I think of using and fighting enemies with mostly old rugged cold war era weapons with not many sight attachments and only a handful of rifles that are equipped with red dots, lasers, and all of those other gadgets and toys that you can either only get a certain traders and are as expensive as a Ferrari, from killing NPCs that are of status in certain factions, as rewards for fully completing long and hard questlines, or hidden in obscure locations. I'm thinking about it from a gameplay and a balancing perspective.
