1:05:11 THAT'S SO SICK!!! Its an ACTUAL Anomaly! The strange one that makes a loud wind sound when you're near it, and messes with your mouse sensitivity and vision and causes objects to float when inside it! Its similar to the glass web anomaly where, one time, I was able to freely heal myself while a bandit was shooting at me because their bullets kept hitting the anomaly! They made some anomalies affect combat like bullet time or usable cover!

Finished it recently and loved it myself, despite the shortcomings. Glad you shared my optimism in terms of the updates that GSC can implement down the line to make it even better. Loved all the tiny references to people like Tolik along the way. I haven't been fully following your playthrough because I've been playing it myself but did you manage to find Zulu? With all the mentions of him and nobody seemingly finding him I can only assume he is cut content. I even found an audio message from him which means he has a voice actor. I also learned recently in my second playthrough that they have given the stalker who carries strelok to Sidorivich in the opening cutscene of SOC a name.

This ending makes me think there's no 'happy ending', at least I'm not seeing any other character to 'follow' that would produce one. The event after you kill doctor is the only thing that has me second-guessing this. Realistically if you can't undo the zone, the next best thing would probably be stopping people from entering it or leaving with crazy stuff in their bags. It does bother me that Strelok just went in there and took over? Uh, excuse me, wasn't one mind totally not enough? The PDA opening teleports as well... uh... ok? Oh and the infinite monolithians as well, and the 'granite' soldiers being locked up down there for how long? Waiting all this time? Playing checkers in the meantime? Hm. Still, it looked fun. I'll buy it once I have a pc that can run it.

The problem with this game is, and always has been is the fact that to make a sellable product one has to make it enjoyable and fun, but stalker tbh was never about having fun, stalker teaches you something and teaching requires the student to be disciplined. Every stalker game I played, it actually punished me to the point where I thought abt quitting half way through. The zone was truly something else in older games and was dangerous and hopeless in a way that made sense. The older games didn't gave a flying f***k about the player, but I guess building something like that in 2024 would be a terrible business decision, but that's an integral part of what stalker is. The bandit car park was a boss fight for me in my first attempt of SHOC and in this game they literally spam medkits everywhere. There's a lot to complain about but complaining doesn't change the fact that the release of this game itself is a miracle. Idk how many modders still work on stalker but in few months maybe a year this game will be something that I'm asking for.

Loved the playthrough and your story telling! Take your time, your quality and dedication to the series is what makes them so good imo. I have similar opinions to you on the game, I think they nailed the overall atmosphere and feeling of the game but its definitely got some rough edges, I'm hopeful they'll polish them overtime and eventually itll be a perfect game but who knows. Overall I think its a worthy successor. Yeah its a real shame that the CNPP and generators were cut, with how developed they are I'm hopeful they'll be added either as story DLC or something else and maybe iron forest as well. I'd highly recommend exploring the top of the generators with godmode and uetools, you can fully explore the area theres just deadly radiation, also during an emission, super cool to see.

Hell yea, I feel like a lot of the OG Trilogy players probably went for this ending. At first I thought it was a bad one and while bittersweet, I do think its probably the best outcome out of all 4. Theres never going to be a true happy ending in a stalker game.

I agree the with your critical response in regard of the story and gameplay - If I am a first time Stalker player i wouldn't know what the purpose of Duty and Freedom is. GSC seems to have developed the game with their old fanbase in mind, but for newcomers it's totally unknown what these two fractions are about - For every Stalker lore content creator to not have enough safe slots is an absolut no go, but also for us normal Stalker players - The hyperinflation of bloodsuckers is very ridicolous, they use to scary me to shit but now they become really annoying - No sidequests with fellow NPC's made me sad - No elaborated sidequests with follow up sidequets - Some monsters (chimeras) are literally tanks, you need like all the bullets avaiable in the zone to kill them - AI Life is really bad with too close spawn radius - What I personally don't like is the amount of weapons and the the weapon choices GSC have made. Stalker was very diverse in this regard. But why in middle of Ukraine we would see a KRISS Vector or a DP-12 rather than CZ weapons, UZI's, AKM's or even FAL's and G3 rifles ? I hope they'll add like 20 or more weapons in the future There are more things to say but I don't want to type an essay. I just hope GSC is going to fix most of the adressed issues.

The save where you could have made a different choice nit shooting the doctor i would much rather see what changes that would make in the story if you could do a quick video on it that would be awsome now then i have to say it i don't belive there are only 4 endings disregaring all the things pointing to it because of 1 reason 2:21:31 my gut feeling tells me that is a route to a secret 5th ending i don't have any evidence that door is for a 5th ending but i have a great feeling there is a 5th one i know anyone can ramble this kinda thing but i will stick with it even if im proven wrong until that time is upon me i will belive.

it's not really a good ending because Skif is stuck inside the Zone. I don't consider either ending to be good, I hope they'll add an actual good ending, because currently the only good ending is Strelok joining the C-Con in SoC and stabilizing the Zone.
