For example the recent cyberpunk 2077, I thought it's going going to be something like STALKER+Fallout New Vegas. But no, the world stays the same throughout the entire game. STALKER is extremely dynamic, you never know that while facing bunch of bandits you may get annihilated by a pseudogiant, the zone & it's enemy placements always change. Hell I was impressed by the random NPCs in stalker, they drink vodka, sleep, crack jokes, greets the player, plays sweet sweet guitar tracks.

I remember Metro Last Light and end of my ride with Regina (Andrew's railcar). I thought I'm safe with her and felt really confident, like master of the whole metro. Then I came to the closed gate, followed the wire and opened the door. Spiders. Again. I have slight arachnophobia btw. Switched off the game right then and there. I came back after a year and continued, facing my fears. It was not easy, but after that I was not afraid of them anymore. I learned how to fight them. Quite an experience, I must say.

Grab that red Crystal. Crystals are some of the most useful artifacts. You need at least two to get the best effect, but typically no more than three. Combine two Moonlights with three Crystals while wearing any "egghead" suit (90 rad resistance) and you'll have unlimited stamina (or fast-recovering stamina if over-encumbered) combined with high rad resistance.

If you hold SHIFT+CTRL while walking they never throw stuff at you, as these beings sense movement (even with only SHIFT, without CTRL), but can't see/hear (atleast in the same way humans can). So just move with shift+ctrl and when you see one - stay still and fire.

Russian here. Yeah... this place, at least for me, is actually the scariest one in the game. This game has three official series, which are Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Prypyat. And the scariest place of the whole series (not including modes and addons) for me would be the X-8 Laboratory in Call of Prypyat. In these games, in my opinion, sounds are even more creepier than the monsters. In the X-8 Laboratory, there are way more monsters and floors, you can simply get lost in there. I have played this game since the 2-nd grade, but it was not actually that scary, now it is not scary at all. But one time I happened to find a movie Kill Bill and watched it, then went playing STALKER right away. And all those memories from the movie (chopped legs, arms...) added more fellings to the Agroprom Lab, when the controlloer apeared:).
