🔺When I was in Bali, there was a girl singing at a restaurant. I recorded her vocals but I have never used the recordings in anything that I've done. But in this one, I tried them out. It sounds more like a male person rather than a woman, due to me pitching the vocals down. It sounds more a bit mysterious and obscure. I think it works quite well. It gives a sense of ancient depth without a context, if that makes sense? I'm with you on that 100%... You mind if I ask.. What's your favorite way to enjoy a new spacewave release? Me, i usually wait til night, get my bedroom pitch black except for the TV that's tuned in to Spacewave's latest and greatest.... Lay in bed with my eyes closed, I take a few solid, lung-filling deep breaths, as I hit play, ensuring the video is full-screen.... A huge needle-less syringe full of ketamine and ginko biloba & boof it all slowly. Then, I literally travel into the beautiful, aesthetic imagery Spacewave procured for that video. 🤣🤣 I'm just kidding... I use earbuds. 🖤🤘

I stumbled upon David's channel a couple of years ago, when it was in its infancy. I find, particularly, that drone-style ambient music is the perfect vehicle for both a contemplative and vicarious psychological state, thus I was proactively searching for that sort of engagement. I had taken an official interest in beginning my songwriting career and thought that utilizing instrumental music would facilitate the process I have cultivated while attempting to establish "worldbuilding" through my sung poetry. The more "physical" portion of this experience is far less captivating; I merely dedicate a period of the day during which I am able to assess my emotional vulnerabilities and construct and assess them using these ambient pieces as an activation. Nothing more than headphones and sparse light are present to accompany that. While I do believe that "setting the mood" through environmental preparations can be an enhancement for some, I personally prefer to enable the music to wholly inhabit my sensory space. I think that, with the increasing depth of this channel's artistic and audial directions, I can truly let my imagination granulize alongside the soundscape, enabling an extraction of the sediments of my consciousness from it. In essence, I guess I can just say that minimalism and simplicity remain my principles for utmost individual influence. When you encourage yourself to feel an almost bare intimacy between mind and sound, wavelengths turn into lace, gently cinching the estranged echoes of personhood together, gradually. I don't listen to music for escape, but, rather, rediscovery. Thank you for letting me write this.

Oh wow. This is so good. And the visual sends the mind reeling into speculation: is this the last vestige of an AI machine that took on the face of its creator centuries ago. Forgotten and left alone in some far ruined part of an abandoned city. Slowly breaking down and rotting away as holes let water to fall in and bring with it dirt and filth. Alone and waiting for someone to stumble upon it.
