Yes David there is an accent on the e of “défi” . This one is the first Dupont I like. Hello from France 🇫🇷

David, that was not an empty cartridge. It was a pipe. 🤣🤣

Millard Port has written a book of pangrams to test any pen, or to play with puns and find the shortest pangram possible. I have found it a lot of fun and quite useful for pen owners.

I’m so glad to know I’m not the only person who has mistaken a pipe for a cartridge. I don’t care for the hooded nibs. My grandmother liked them, but they always make think of cobras, waiting to strike. But I did enjoy watching the review and learning about new pens. Thank you.

Cobra is nice! To me they look like poorly designed letter openers.

That sure is a classy looking pen! 😍 David, your ink swatch card said Diplomat Royal Blue instead of S.T. Dupont. Still, lovely ink as well!

Like so many S.T. Dupont products, classy looking! Still, $348 for a steel nib (and only one size) and c/c fill is on the steep side. Mind you, I've spent in that category for steel nib and c/c but mostly in custom pens with unique resins.

I'm still extremely new to pens, but coming from the knife world this looks to be what William Henry is to knives.

Not a fan of metal sections, hooded nibs, fingerprint magnets, gun metal looks, magnetic caps, and steel nibs that cost as much as golden nibs.

Never in all my days did I ever once think that I’d ever click on a review for a fancy pen.

Dear Sir, is it’s nib replaceable? Can you upload a video how to replace its nib.?

I'm sorry. The pens were on loan and are no longer in my possession. I am uncertain of the disassembly options.

I could not get a standard converter to go on the this pen. The outer diameter of the converters I tried was too big to go in the pen. Did you try putting a converter on it?

The company I bought this from contacted Dupont and they recommend using a cartridge only.

Could the nib be actually changed if so what type of nib ?

Wow! A pen that will kill your pacemaker (and perhaps its owner), and nullify your credit card too!

Great review, really nice design which you have to salute in a world awash with knock offs; and I don't even like hooded nibs! It's twice my max budget, doesn't keep me from admiring it.

Dear sir, it’s the most expensive fountain pen in my collection, but unfortunately it is the worst one in case of ink flow. I tried several ink even Japanese costly ink in it, but every time it disappoints me. In case of fast writing it stops writing very frequently. Have you any suggestions for me? I washed its nib section frequently, but got no result. Its nib assembly can not be opened/disassembled, so i did not find any other solution. Can you help?

Dear Sir, 348$ for a steel nib pen is costly, what’s your opinion about it? And what’s your writing experience? Can it be used as a daily carry / office use pen…? Thanks …

If it's accent aigu, it's "day-fee". If it's accent grave, it's more like "deh-fee". No accent is "d-uh-fee".

Beautiful pen but Pininfarina's are more elegant.

So you are telling me I bought this pen when it was over priced at 450 ? Lol
@briansmithwins Жыл бұрын
I'm not knocking the review. It's just, am I the only one that isn't that interested in cartridge converter pens with steel nibs?

As long as E95s, Lamy 2000, and Pilot Vanishing Point are slaying it at less than 200$? Nah

I can live with steel nibs, c/c pens, so long as the price is well under $100. These people have delusions.

12:55 please tell me this is a manufacturing defect and they don't really give you these useless "spacer cartridges?"
