an hour that’s how long it takes just to part it and braid it especially in the front the back is the easiest but it took me awhile because i never crochet before and trying to capture video too but next time im doing this style in 1 hour

Im one of those women that can't even do the easiest tutorials. I tried this the first time you did a tutorial and still couldn't get it right. Keep trying and don't give up. I am 'tenderheaded" with thick hair....but I've learned to do spring twists, crochet braids only once, and regular braids...I still cannot do cornrows...but am practicing...see if your daughter will help you. My daughter helped me with picking out the correct types of hair for different styles and hair treatment products. Its amazing what they learn....

The reason she's a cosmetologist and now an instructor is because she grew up with me doing her hair and not being able to braid at all. Maybe you could do four sections across instead of two. Then connect the outer left with the inner left, outer right with the inner right, and connect the two middle sections together. That way it will still go all the way across, just smaller sections.

I even bought a mannequin head that has 4c human hair so I can practice my braiding and hopefully learn how to cornrow/do the braids you do that provide such a solid foundation! My mother and sister have such fine and straight hair that it's hard to learn anything but french braids and individual braids. I'm still mad my cosmetology school didn't do any lessons on how to handle 3a-4c hair textures. So that's why I'm doing my own learning by watching you! Keep saying Mary! Cousin! One thing about it, you know a bunch about this hair game so you’re getting what you need from KZbin University! My cosmetology school didn’t teach much about type 4 hair, but I grew up doing it, so I had that advantage. Now the type 1-2… I had a time learning about!! Baby, the elderly type 1-2 ladies used to love coming to see me for their perm set!! 🙌🏾😂

I would suffer doing hard work to perm old ladies hair, blow dry it, make it look great, and then they'd pull the comb out of my hand or most pulled one out of their purses, just to tease it and style it themselves not realizing that's just going to cause the still setting perm to go frizzy and you couldn't tell them not to, because it's their choice on if they wanted to ruin their own perm! It would make me so mad I was grateful near my test time perms were taken off the test and I no longer had to take clients wanting perms done! I get it, 1abc & 2abc want curl hair, but unless they listen to our exact instructions for after care, they'd come in two weeks later saying their hair is flat and frizzy and wanting another perm. Thankfully the teacher would tell them it's their fault that the perm didn't work correctly and that we can't do it again for at least 6 weeks was our only saving grace! Now bridal and prom hair were my tell favorite things to do! Simple but elegant curls and up-do's. I could go on about those stubborn elderly ladies but I won't, because they know what they wanted, even if it meant causing more work for them at home to keep the style looking the same. Crazy cuz. Crazy!

Okay, I want to try this, cause scheduling with my braider can get dicey sometimes. However, I dance, and this hair be whipping when I'm in class- hard.
