I always enjoy watching your videos. You always show a lot of the sailing and the conditions. It’s just like riding along with you. John

Beautiful!! We can't wait to get our CR 34 out there, but have run into a few challenges, which we're working through.

Thanks for the great video John. As a Pacific North West and Baja sailor so interesting seeing the Eastern Seaboard from such a knowledgeable standpoint. Subscribed, liked, and rung the bell LOL

Thank You! I'm missing being on my boat! This year was a road trip. 8,800 miles across this great country. Fantastic trip, but there were no boats...(Other than the two washed up on the beach in front of our cottage in Coronado!) Looking forward to your next video! Planning a Bahamas trip this Fall.

Can you describe your navigation path around Hatteras? Did you go between the stream and diamond shoals or way out past the stream?

Thanks for another great video! I think the reason there aren't a lot of people out sailing is due to lack of experience. There aren't many sailors like you that enjoy sailing for sailing's sake and rather, the majority of cruisers only sail well enough to get from point "A" to point "B" and other than that spend all their time in anchorages. So they don't get a lot of practice sailing or becoming familiar with different wind and sea conditions. Some sailing channel cruisiers even admit they don't sail other than for transportation to their next destination.

"Emmerson Lake and Palmer", wrote a "Rock" song that they entitled something that describes guys like you - "Lucky Man". Thanks and greetings from a Lusitanean up in Ontario.

Thank you for this video, and ghe incentive to go out when the wind is good and strong. I have a question if I may, being sort of a novice sailor, regardless my age of 74. I sail a wonderful Island Packet 40 from 1996, and I sail mostly solo. Last dummer I did successfully bring her from the North Sea to the Med, but I feel I am still in learning curve. I have changed the old Genoa and had a Yankee made, which is very difficult to get past the staysail when tacking. The question is at which wind strength would you keep the Yankee furled and sail with a reefed main and staysail? Would 17 to 20kt be a reasonable choice? Thank you for sharing your experience

Great video! It looks like you have 2 100w or so panels on the cockpit rails. How are they wired? Series, parallel, or each on separate controllers?
