i was born in 75. i remembered the TV was airing it probably around 78 or something where am at as i remember my late elder sibling being so hyped up about it. SWAT was probably one of the first English word i knew before ABC. heh and back then we had no color TVs in entire neighborhood until 79 -80. Then alongside SWAT was these combat series by Vick Morrow, Chips & Dallas in black and white. Cant remember much but strangely i still remember all those series' titles. Music television didn't arrive until after 1983 in vcr format.

@@dukelafferdy1564no more using park equipment for playing only do what they're intended for. Also, no more games like cops and robbers due to pretending your hand is a gun/taser. Most schools are replacing the playgrounds and the new playgrounds make no sense because it's more of a workout than playing. No more monkey bars, no more slides, no more swings unless you stand up and move your legs like those stair climber workout equipment so essentially you're walking on air and a lot of people fall off and it hurts worse than if you were sitting down on the swings. The new playgrounds don't have any instructions so the kids have to have to adults explain how to use them but when it's after school you're SOL because parents might not know how to help their kids use it properly.

Yep, you’re right - this isn’t the pilot. The pilot is the test episode that is used to sell the network on the series. A lot of people think pilot = first episode. The pilot usually airs as the first episode of a series, but not always, such as when the pilot airs as an episode of another series, or when the pilot never airs as part of the series due to retooling or cast changes. The Jeffersons pilot aired as an episode of All in the Family. The Laverne & Shirley pilot has never aired; it’s 15 minutes long and was shot on the Happy Days set.

Why does it hurt more when you watch such tragic scenes being over 50? It’s like you realize better, understand the measure of loss and consequences.. you absorb the misfortune and feel it weigh you down. It was supposed to feel that way only we didn’t take it hard when we were much younger. 😁 All we (ladies now) probably thought how adorable Robert looked with a wet face. 🤭 RIP handsome. 🌾

@@ianmintz12806Keep in mind, that it was 'THIS' version of SWAT, that paved the way for the big screen, Samuel L Jackson, Colin Farrell, and Jeremy Renner, movie. As well as the CBS-TV series, starring Shemar Moore.

@@williambabyak1094 No, you just got good taste. And man, Wednesday nights once upon a time on ABC: 8PM Rookies; 9PM SWAT; 10PM Starsky and Hutch. It was a school night so I'd have to wait to see S&H in the Torino first ten minutes or so, or go to bed.
