Oscar Pastry Recipe:
Ingredients:
130g softened butter
100g clarified butter (or regular butter)
100g powdered sugar
50g egg yolk
10g ground cardamom
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
Rosewater (as needed)
370g all-purpose flour
Chopped walnuts (as needed)
Instructions:
Beat the clarified butter and oil together until smooth and well combined.
Add the butter and powdered sugar to the mixture and beat until it becomes light and fluffy.
Add the egg yolks, then the cardamom, vanilla, and flour mixture. Stir until a soft and smooth dough forms.
Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for a while.
Take small portions of dough, about the size of a walnut, and roll them into balls.
Dip each ball into rosewater and roll it in chopped walnuts.
Place the pastries on a baking tray, ensuring there is space between them.
Bake in a preheated oven: 180°C (350°F) for a gas oven, or 160°C (320°F) for an electric oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, ensuring they just lightly brown at the bottom.
