Great video guys. I just came across your channel now so I'm a bit late. One thing you had going for you on those roads was you were able to stand comfortably. Something I struggle with as a taller rider. Just remember the most challenging times are the ones you remember the most.

Thanks and so glad you enjoyed the video. I imagine it would have been very uncomfortable and more challenging without being able to stand up comfortably. We even have ROX Risers on our handlebars so I can't imagine the discomfort for a tall rider on the stock setup.

You're going to love it. In our experience, you pretty much can camp anywhere along the Dempster. There are gravel pits along the way at intervals and they provide the most likely protection against the wind but we also found plenty of tracks and turnouts. Good luck and enjoy!

That road can be soul building or soul breaking depending on the weather. 👍👍👏👏. I can remember doing 100+ kmh at times and down to 5-10 kmh, praying to the deities “that I just make through this stretch……”. 🤣😂🤣. Can’t wait to do it again!

So true, so true. And also so true how at moments you just want to get through and out of it and then you want nothing more than to be right back in it!

Yeah it's more dangerous for two wheelers but still scary for 4-wheelers too. I experienced all kinds of weather on both the Dempster and Dalton in June 2019: intense fog, rain, snow flurries, freezing temps, slippery muddy sections - warning signs. You name it I had it. But God was my pilot throughout the entire journey.

@@GoRUFFLY the wildest most unforgettable road adventures I've ever embarked on. I was filled with so much euphoria I didn't know what to do. God's creation is a wonderful gift. Glad you got to experience it as well.

What is very interesting to me, having never been to Tuk or Prudhoe Bay, is that it looks like you can hang out on the Arctic Ocean in Tuk, right? But everything I've seen seems to indicate you have to take a bus to the ocean in Prudhoe. It looks like you just camped on the very edge of the ocean?

Exactly true - that’s the bummer about the popular Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay. The less popular buy way way way better ride up the Dempster Highway to Tuk reaches right to the shore of the Arctic Ocean. No buses and no oil drilling restrictions. Just a small Inuit community up there at land’s end!

It is ironic at Tuk, I didn't need permission to enter the community. Drive right in. At Prudhoe Bay, the only access to the Arctic is by way of a foreign country INSIDE the USA. How the heck is that possible. Another thing I noticed is that we Americans need passports to get home, but thousands upon thousands of illegals can walk right in with no documentation at all. Wow.

flick ! how much traffic was there ?! is it just the edit that make me feel like vomiting from all traffic or its actually peaceful to ride along ?

There are a few moments of 'traffic' on the Dempster Highway but mostly it is miles and miles and miles of riding alone and undisturbed!

Isolation is a beautiful thing up there. You're the only human around for miles around. Get a glimpse of what earth looked like before mankind first set foot on it.
