What hope we must have for the future of humankind to listen to two modern mothers talking about faith instead of competing over buying the new shed from ikea or the next holiday abroad or discovering a new pampering spa. Hallelujah is our song. Well done mums and happy Mother's Day.

Just discovered (thanks to my dear friend Iulia), and watched all videos these two days...i am totally inspired and touched and looking forward to watching the next videos. I'd love to know more about the home schooling programme Jenni mentions here. Could you please pop a link in the description / in reply? The 'topics' covered here and in previous vids have incidentally touched upon things on our hearts - particularly over this Christmas season, and so it has been a little a little gem for our quiet earnest prayers.

Thank you for such generous feedback Paula! We are excited for our new episodes! Of course, it's Mother of Divine Grace. Are you in the UK? Great to connect xx
@pauladebt27534 жыл бұрын
@@oneofnine Thank you for the homeschooling info. Mother of Divine Grace is an American Catholic home-schooling programme. It would be great to know more about UK based Catholic home-schooling. If anyone reading this here has any experience of it it in the UK. As one site says "...What we've also found, however, is that the majority of such [catholic homeschooling] sites are aimed primarily at American home-schoolers and while (particularly in terms of our Catholic faith) there is a great deal of overlap, there are also some very important areas in which UK families have different requirements. This is true not just in terms of subject specific requirements such as history, geography, grammar, maths and so on, but also in terms of the kind of state-education system in which we are raising our children: most obviously, at secondary school age the American resources cannot help us very much if we wish to prepare our children for the UK standard qualifications, GCSEs." (Catholic Curriculum on a Shoestring website). Sadly we're not in the UK at the moment. It's not been easy to find a non-superficial practicing Catholic community...(sadly yes, superficial and somewhat practicing "Catholic" communities do exist! sigh!

@@pauladebt2753 I'm in Ireland. We use Mother of Divine Grace in the higher grades. And a more eclectic mix of things in the lower grades. There are alot of home schoolers both here and in the UK that use a mixture of American resources, just because they are so well developed for learning home. Then some of our kids do the SAT exams, or go back into the national system, or do something else altogether. . As Jennie says here her kids went to American colleges. There are some great homeschool groups on Facebook where you can pick up alot of information.
@pauladebt27534 жыл бұрын
@@annashephard4175 thanks Anna, what do you use for toddlers? We do Montessori at home and I have just designed learning based on how my child is progressing. Sadly we are not allowed to do official homeschooling in Germany, but I don’t plan to stay here that long so I’m really looking for 1-6 year old education. Kids don’t go to school here until 6years old.
