Soring is Barbaric! SO grateful for Activists like this man, and those that advocate for Horses. Although I make it a point to Sign as many Petitions and write Letters to Legislative Officials, these folks are on the Front Lines and are really taking the Heat for a great cause. God Bless em for it too!

I give actually a little more than I can afford to animal causes, but nothing else is as gratifying. Everyday I message and call to end cruelty and suffering. Without the inspiration of people like Marty and Laurie, my efforts would not be as effective. Thank you for being a North Star for animal advocates like me.

As a long-time fighter for the Tennessee Walking Horse, thank you so much for your podcast. More people need to understand that respect for animals means respect for all forms of life, and exposing the animal abuse will help put the abusers in jail and to no longer have the power and money they enjoy.

Thank you very much, Laurie and Marty, for this strong and compelling interview. GREAT questions! I do believe that progress against "big lick" is being made, but it is inconceivable that there are still so many owners, trainers, patrons, and spectators that continue to hold on to what the rest of the world views as mindless cruelty. I will look up your rescue and as soon as I can, I will send you a donation. This issue is so heavy on my mind. I often cry for these poor, helpless souls as they are so innocent and gentle! Please keep up the good work. God is hearing our prayers and we are on the side of RIGHT!

Liked the interview very much. Soring of any gaited horse is barbaric!! My late Uncle Jack had a Tennessee Walking Horse (1950's) that he showed. He never sored his TWH at all. Received some ribbons that I know of. I am dead set against people who sore any gaited horse. I would like to see these trainers and owners get the same treatment as the gaited horses. I make my calls, tweet, sign petitions and write letters. I'm on the front line for every animal Mr. Irby and Ms. Hood. We need more people like you two. More people in Congress should take action for all animals. Secretary Deb Haaland seems like she does not care for the wild equines and other wildlife. I have written letters, tweeted and called. Even when you read articles with Secretary Deb Haaland's name in there, you never see anything about the wildlife of any kind mentioned. I would truly like to see someone in the Secretary of the Interior as an animal lover. Secretary Deb Haalsnd promised as she was being sworn in that she would take action for animals. Well she hasn't. Have you noticed if she has? I'll continue on fighting for all animals until I can't do it any more.

Just one question: After so many years of fighting those sub-human evil monsters who perpetrate this atrocious abuse to innocent animals, why are they still allowed to continue??? Who are those who keep this abhorrent business alive???
Protecting horse soaring and those who participate in it was the reason 44 took down the USDA website. And he did it on Day One of his presidency. Sickness. Vile It takes a diseased mind to punish horses like this. I don't even like to wear high heels, I cannot imagine the pain horses endure for some human's idea of what is attractive. Gross. Thanks for not ever giving up, Marty!

I've been around horses for over 40 years and that kind of behavior and abuse is incomprehensible for me... I know similar things happen in all sorts of horse sports but that just makes it worse...

PETITION signed to ban horses soring . PETITION signed to protect all horses from soring and abuse. It horrible to abandoned horses and killing and slaughter for meat. Illegal trade. Horses are living beings like human. I remember one famous black horse name Beauty

I had no clue this is what horse people do to horses. This is ABUSE that these poor souls have to endear as the choice of mankind. Please stop this now. What kicks do you get out of it? God created these beautiful creatures but not to be abused and treated as such

sending support from North Carolina! we all will not stop until the last helicopter stays down and the BLM stands down. This soaring is so sick minded for people to think this is ok.

@@mosesmom good point but Marty works on that too. So saying sending support for all he does I didnt realize offended you ... wow take it down a notch. Did you even watch the whole thing? He went over slaughter also? You need to apply that energy to helping animals instead of trolling.

@@DGcookie Are you serious?, you subscribed to my channel after my comment, so why are you stalking me? I stand by my comment. I find people pulling in unrelated issues to plug their personal agenda takes away from the animal rights issue at hand . I think you are the one that was offended.
