S10 LS SWAP PT 18: Installing the Radiator

In todays episode we fab the radiator mounts and the radiator shroud and install everything into the engine bay. I decided to use a large aluminum radiator over using the stock radiator so I would not have to worry about keeping the engine cool. The radiator also has a built in trans cooler. One thing I would suggest is to get a radiator with the inlet and outlets on the passenger side for a ls swap. We run into issues later on with the style we have that will be shown in future videos.

What radiator hoses are you using? Stock LS and Stock S10 ones dont seem to line up, wondering if you have part #'s

I am using an engineered cooling products radiator. As of right now, I would not suggest it as I have had the engine get slightly hot (220-230) on short slow test drives in 100ish degree weather with dual 12" fans on max speed. I'm hoping that we can resolve this issue, but am not certain at this point in time.

Another thing get a 12 inch fan u will know those mishimoto fans are not even 12 inch they are smaller like 11 7/8

No offense ditch those mishimoto fans they are trash had them in my ls swap s10 they dont pull enough cfm as they claim and they are like. The ebay ones you will see high temp i should have used that money and saved it for better ones.. Bought Spal 12 inch they kick. Ass better than mishimoto save the money and do it right the first tiime mmishimotoo fans are terrible
