Myles was SPOT ON in saying that Adventists have an identity crisis in the sense that they can’t distinguish themselves from the movement itself. How do I know this? I was one of them. And I used to get SO offended when people would critique the churches theology. Especially Myles. Now my wife and son and I are one of the families that attend his local church and absolutely love it! What a paradigm shift! It’s been amazing!

My daughter developed some tipes of mental disorder to do too vegan diet and legalism. I really regret becoming an SDA. I am out of that nonsense, but I have a big battle with depression Sunday law. Peter/Myles, Hebrews 4:8-10 towards the tail end of the stream. I went onto the AnsweringAdventism website and looked up Hebrews 4. As with many others, I had the understanding of believers in general entering God's rest when I left Adventism early last year. However, Myles made a very strong case in his exposition. Is it possible that Myles subscribes to John Owen's (1668) interpretation (of Heb 4:8-10) in that Jesus entered into His own rest (on Sunday) from the New Creation when He resurrected on Sunday? 'Cause they sure line up. If so, this is a very compelling argument in Hebrews supporting a new Sabbath day with its ceremonial form instituted on Sunday; although falling short of a command from Jesus Christ himself (in the 4 eyewitness accounts) or an unequivocal teaching from one of the apostles authorized by Christ. I'm not 100% convinced, but it's compelling.

Interesting listening. Just a few points of correction. Myles said twice that forgiveness is not found in the law. But it is found in the law:, it is rooted in God's character as spelt out in Exodus 34:5-7; and through the Levitical 4 any/everyday atoning sacrifices. Those pointed to the gospel of Jesus Christ who takes away the sin of the world in John 1:29; Luke 24:36-47-49; etc.
