I actually bought a qx4 for a overlander build but I picked up a 2019 titan XD Cummins 4x4 and the brakes failed and it got totaled lol so if I don’t fix it it’s back to the qx4

Not too shabby! Digging the upgrade and am actually going to be doing it myself here over the Christmas holiday. Did you swap your brake master cylinder as well or did you stay with the stock 240sx one? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am new to working on cars!

Good question The stock non- ABS master can handle 10 pistons in the brake system So I can run 4 piston brake calipers in the front And single piston stock in the rear I had the rear capped off because I ran that independently to my hydraulic E break Since then I have upgraded to a 300 ZX master it wasn’t much of a difference but now I know I can upgrade to the duel break set up in the rear and handle over 12 pistons in the system lol If you do not upgrade your master and you have too much in the system the pedal will be very hard in the brakes for feel week! @@casey_shame The only reason I upgraded is because I’m going to have 4 pistons in brakes in the rear The stock was completely fine for the year I drove on it with the big brakes. And the 300zx upgrade wasn’t a noticeable difference on that setup. So I would just hold off on it until you need to replace yours Don’t worry too much it’s just brake calipers It’s not hard ,just don’t over think it !

@@MRTuning704 yeah my oem is 4 stud 250mm rotors I’ve got zss hubs 5stud now but but don’t no what I can convert to that’s bolt on hoping this kit was originally 250mm so I can copy it

I did the 5x114.3 hub conversion that’s the easiest way to open up your options Then I did the 300zx z32 rotors with the r32 calipers but you can use 300zx z32 calipers as well. There are little smaller but are almost identical. The first couple of years of the z32 are cast iron calipers and they are the best in my opinion. but the last couple of years they are aluminum You will also need the conversion brake line I got mine from enjuku The rear is a similar set up but you technically can’t run the 300zx rear calipers because they can strike the subframe

@@MRTuning704 thanks mate Did that caliper suit up bolt straight up no issue my concern was seeing some s13 are 280mm rotors to start where mine are 250mm. That’s why I’m not sure what will work I have zss hubs 5x114.3 which are in just need to find the rest
