Aren't all competing teams supposed to be of equal skill because they're all eligible for the WORLD title? Its a general understanding that LPL teams are the harder ones with LCK close second and both EU and NA are far easier to beat due to a long list of circunstances (more competitive teams, better economical structure, culture etc) This is like the top soccer team from Guatemala had to play against the top soccer team of Spain in the World Cup, yeah they are the top team of the region but in reality its not even close.

There absolutely should have been a stipulation guaranteeing you cant get a rematch, it’s beyond dumb otherwise. That would have guaranteed KT played either FNC or G2, and if KT-FNC, the other two games would have had to be G2-BLG, DK-WBG, which is by far the best scenario in terms of match quality and fairness to all involved imo.

@@codymartindale4340 I don't think you realize the gap between east and west. NRG didn't beat a single Asian team, and G2 did so vs two seed 4 but in a very shaky way both time, and only in BO1. Let's not cope, I'd like any western team to go as far as possible, but from now, nor FNC or G2 or NRG has ANY chance to win a single match anymore. Truth is, EU and NA should not even have that many seeds at Worlds... top 8 LPL could just beat the top western teams.

Idk how much proof they show that it’s not biased….. But…. They should show on video how they set those bags in place infront of camera and crowd, and then have 1 player from each team pick a bag. Bcuz from what I saw China rigged this 😂, they paid him off to pick the bags and they paid the person who set them. Sounds crazy probably is, but it is definitely possible. this format is great, every match matters. People who goes through deserves to go through instead of lucky head to head in group stages. G2 is the reason this is now fucked, they got wins against WBG and Dk pushing them into the lower brackets and then lose to NRG. NRG would've been stuck down there at 2-2 bo3 against eastern teams. Normally 1 western team makes it anyway.

Not a fan of Swiss Stage and prefer the old Group Stage format - simply for the reason that there are so many civil wars in Swiss Stage and too much luck involved in draws. NRG had the easiest path ever while KT has basically only played LCK and LPL teams iirc. Sure Group Stage had a bit of luck involved in your Group draw but the top 2 teams in that group usually made it out. With Swiss format, top teams could still get eliminated early because of bad draws. The only thing I like about Swiss is the Bo3 format in latter games.
