I main Viego adc and I’ve been building Heartsteel since it came out. It really is good. I like to then build lifesteal, preferably 2 lifesteal items because lifesteal is crap by itself now. Bloodthirster I feel is a good second item because it gives him a lot more lifesteal than BORK and he gets crit, which all his abilities scale off of and more ad, so more damage, coupled with the max hp damage from Heartsteel and your Q you don’t really need BORK. Viego has some good ap scaling on a few of his abilities but not enough to merit build any ap items. I just get a sorcery potion late game after fighting baron so I get above 100 free ap so I can utilize all my scaling without building any ap at all. Bork is still a good option I just feel the damage isn’t as great other than it’s ability to deal max hp damage but we got our Q and Heartsteel so we can afford to build that later. PTA I feel does more damage than Conq, I’ve tested it a lot in practice tool and while the healing on conq and bonus ad is good the healing isn’t that great even with just BORK. 1.4mil Viego main here. I play him in all roles but my favorite is adc because I play offmeta. Also keep in mind, PTA does increased damage as a % for a period of time, your combo only takes a few seconds to use so you get that increased damage long enough to get a kill. Like people say conq is better in extended fights, but what extended fight do you need if you’re just straight up burst?

Bork is the best first item on viego unless you’re going crit or ap, both of which are weaker builds in pretty much every way. With a normal Bork build you’ll literally be dealing more damage than any other build while also being tankier and having better sustain. The reason you need Bork on viego is because his passive procs Bork passive twice. This already completely broken item literally procs twice as much for this champ in his burst combo. The only exception for having more damage is crit, but that’s only when you’re at least 4 items will you be able to have more dmg, and it’s only 100-200 extra damage in your autos at most
