S14.2 Review Block #33: Basic Beach

I'm stuck in low bronze and I'd like to climb higher.
I have a 60% winrate with Yorick mid over 20 games. I suspect this would be enough to climb back to silver, but (though quite fun) I ultimately don't want to play mid, or Yorick (sorry Yorick, you will always be a bro).
I have a 50% winrate in support on Rakan and Nami. This suggests there are many basics of the role and champions I am lacking. I prefer the engage rather enchanter playstyle. I wonder if there is an engage support champ I can learn the role on, whilst having a positive winrate through bronze with my current skill level. I not, I will just all in on Rakan, but it seems worth checking.
This account is wrecked for this split anyway, so I don't think there is much to lose from some more experimenting. Leona is the most basic b*tch of engage support. So we are going to play 20 games and see what the winrate is like. If it seems promising I'll keep going. If not, I will pivot to Maokai (fundamentally similar to Leona and also easy to pilot) for 20 games and see which I like better. After that I will re-assess.

Jihn/Leona vs Aphelios/Shaco We are stronger in lane, the danger is Shaco roaming and harassing our jungler and Aphelios' scaling. However, I should be able to match Shaco's pressure and cc chain aphelios to death whenever he steps up, so I think we are quite favoured here. They hit lvl2 first which is why I backed off. I didn't E into the bush with Shaco when I hit lvl2, because I knew he had a box in there, I made the right decision to move up and engage on Aphelios. Subsequently, I could have played further up the lane (away from Shaco's bushes) to stress Aphelios' CSing and look for a re-engage before the wave pushed closer to tower and the danger of taking tower shots - which is what happened. The death was worth, but unnecessary, and we could have gotten a bigger lead if I'd played the sequence better. I struggle with zoning ADCs off last hits, it seems like I try to do it and they shoot me and get the last hit on the minions anyway - and this Aphelios didn't punish me nearly as much as he could have. I need to NEVER EVER use E on an enemy in the zone in front of the tower (unless they are on
