Nanogirl is ready for her first superhero flight mission, but first of all... she's got to learn how to fly! Let's experiment at home together and make our own rocket launchers. We'll learn how rockets launch using pressure, and then see how high your own rocket can go when you use the air inside a bottle to send it flying.
For this activity, all you will need is
an empty, clean plastic bottle
small plate to draw around
plain paper
scissors
tape
ruler
pencil
colouring supplies
This is the FIRST video in our Nanogirl's Lab Superpower of Flight series. Watch all five videos and have fun doing each of the easy STEM activities to complete your superpower of flight training, as you learn to become a STEM-powered superhero together with Nanogirl!

Nanogirl's Lab was created by our expert team of science communicators and content creators, and designed for primary school aged children to be able to learn about STEM in a fun, practical and engaging way while at home during lockdown. Our mission is to make science exciting and accessible for all, and so we're so proud that the entire Nanogirl's Lab programme is available to all for free.
