I cruised this canal 25 years ago. It is beautiful.

It is, but I liked the Crinan at least as much, as it is narrower and not as crowded. It had also proportionally more staff.

We certainly did, at least until we came into quite horrible waves, when my partner decided to take the plane home :-) when reaching Helmsdale in Scotland. But this did not keep me from enjoying also the rest of the journey from there to the Orkneys and Shetland and then crossing the North Sea to reach Norway. Regards from Norway Dieter
