Very nice outdoor kitchen and pizza oven. Congratulations on the Ferrari purchase, she is beautiful. Those building models were fantastic, loaded with details and a great addition to your layout. You are very lucky to have found those and having your friend that is amazingly talented on buildings as well. Superb work, looks excellent - I've some similar plastic type wire-in-tube products (stored away that I forgot about - never occurred to use it with servos as well as point motors) and I'm hoping to RC some outdoor points/switches/crossings. Glad to hear you got over Covid👍🤞😊 I had to chuckle, as you've the same brand and colour of basic track colour paint as I've experimented with a week or two ago. It's very akin to a UK branded track colour and much better value. The downside? Being acrylic it does have a slight sheen compared to the model railway brand (matt). But as I'm using it outdoors, in a heatwave, it's gone matt pretty quickly! So the up close track on the scenic section indoors will use the model railway branded product. That is a superb paint but it's VHOC and whatever I do, it clogs it's nozzles🤔🤔🙄😕 The detail painting? I'll airbrush and/or use a rotary wheeled paint applicator for rail sides. I've less to do than you. Your spray looks slightly darker than mine but the can and description looks nearly the same (except US vs UK branding).

Thanks! My entire layout is using servo-controlled turnouts. More DCC manufacturers are warming up to the idea. Walthers has a whole new line of servo turnout machines and decoders. Digitrax is also now making a servo based turnout controller.

Do you have to lay on the floor to mount the turnout motors or have you devised yet another clever method to do it better and easier? What made you decide on the Alfa pizza oven over the Ooni? Are you happy with the Alfa?

I have to get under the benchwork to mount the servo mounts. I am happy with the Alfa. It's a good size and works well. Ooni looks a little too "squat", likely meaning less insulation for good heat retention, but I could be wrong.

No, once the paint dried the operation was unaffected. The paint is dark brown.

I wonder if the "Frick Coal Co." Is named after Andrew Carnegie's, right-hand man, Frick? Frick took over operations of US Steel mill, Homestead Works, and the Pinkertons fired on steelworkers that were on strike. ( Just history) not trying to be political or dig up any issues. Great plugs! I was interested in buying the Hostler Train Box to take my trains back and forth to my model train club, but when I type up the link or click on it from your description it tells me the site can't be reached. Is it something on my end or have others reported this same issue?

Someone else reported the issue too. I can't replicate the problem on my end. The site loads up fine using the link posted in the comments. I dunno, the airbrush might work for the rails, but the ties look pretty good with the dry brushing. I'm not sure the airbrush setup, cleaning, swapping colors means it will go a whole lot faster.
