The issue of people keeping their ex un their lives is a very big problem Some people have fone through so much with their ex that it is a problem cutting them off . Is not normal but is a thing today

I am not sure we can have a straight jacket for what is normal in a relationship. Save for two inalienable things: 1. Respect for one another - best way to approach is like behaving towards a traditional mother (in the case of the man) and a father (in the woman's). 2. Love manifesting us true care for each other's feelings (being the listening ear, the cheer leader, appropriate financial support). For all other elements of a normal relationship, the dynamics worth noting are below: 1. Age dynamics - irrespective of age, the older person wants a certain level of deference on contentious issues. Let's learn to balance this push and pull dynamics. 2. Religious inclinations - there must be a conscious settlement on the direction of religious expresssion. 3. Financial strengths - a waterloo for nearly all relationships.
