I'm a first time viewer of your videos. First, I gotta say thanks for not using techno music in your video. It's a nice difference compared to most tech review videos. Second, thanks for the comparison between these two very similar models. I appreciate that you provided all the info in a very clear way, and showed off some features of the camera functions. For me, upgrading from a Galaxy S8 to the S20+ will be a big step, and I'm really looking forward to it. Skipping a couple of generations between upgrades is always nice because there's a lot of improvements over three years, compared to incremental upgrading from the previous year's model. If I had an S10 then I think I might stick it out if I could, as there are a lot of similarities. Even my S8 is running well, no real issues, but I was bitten by the upgrade bug and just had to scratch the itch this time. Also, we're going on vacation soon so it'll be nice to have one of the, if not the, best phone cameras around. And that 120Hz display? Yes, please.

@@joeblack621 well thats not the only reason of course, i just took the deal cuz i get something free...the actual reason for buying my new s20 plus was because my phone is pretty much dying, i have to charge it 3 times a day and that is at 20-30% brightness. All i do is check work that i have to finish or have already done. Another is that the camera is just full of dark spots which cause my teachers to just tell me to resend a clear picture of whatever i sent them but i cant. And lastly the storage, which only has 16 gb and i have to delete old picgires everytime i take a new one since system apps take up like 10 gb. And I really think it its a good time to upgrade to a new phone so yeah.
@joeblack6214 жыл бұрын
@@clydeleano3271 I understand. I purchased the lowest memory Motorola Moto G3 2015 in 2015. This because in India they got not only the highest specification G3 but got a free earphones I think for a cheaper price. For the past over four years had faults that even Motorola's staff couldn't solve. Couldn't install all relevant apps that I wanted together. Hence, had to delete apps when I wanted to install apps. Despite, that in 2015 it was a best buy for the sub-150 pounds category now it is a nuisance. Luckily, Motorola gave me 200 pounds, but I should have asked for more for Motorola messing me about for more than four years. At one of my niece's birthday parties and seeing photographs taken over the years decided that I wanted an excellent camera and video camera in a smartphone. Infact I purchased the Moto G3 2015 hoping that cameras on smartphones within 5 years would become as good as the best SLR and Video cameras. I am taking a risk, but I think that the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra maybe good enough to produce excellent photographs. But it appears that Samsung want to produce the best cameras in the world and are will to listen to people and implement proper proposals to properly update the standard of the camera. In one phone store a person said to me that she had always purchased Samsung's smartphones. I told her that the 100 times zoom on the camera is virtually useless, which is verified by looking at what I think is an excellent video by Danny Widget (search for his name on KZbin) he compares the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra to the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max camera footage. She said, 'but I thought that the S20 Ultra's camera was one of the best in the world'. But I then told her something like, ' At the price of the S20 Ultra I expect it to be the best not just one of the best in the world'. She then smiled in agreement. Hence, when I have time I shall be sending Samsung's Design team some more proposals via their telephone technical department to hopefully make certain that the S20 Ultra becomes the best in the world. It's hardware and software and if the operating system each year is upgraded for preferably 10 years, because haven't got the excuse as with my Moto G3 Gen 2015 that it could only have 2 operating systems: Lollipop 5.1 and Marshmallow 6.0.1 because of the hardware or software becoming obsolete. I hope that Google and Samsung properly program Marshmallow and subsequent operating systems do that smartphones users can store, for example, any app onto MicroSD cards when the users aren't using them. This would create more space internally to increase the speed of smartphones etcetera. Manufacturers besides providing unlimited updates to prevent hackers from easily hacking into phones usually when they are more then 2 years old Should pay probably the peanuts to Microsoft and the SD Association to install the best SD Drives into Smartphones. Recently, I saw that the SD Association has once again changed the SD categories: instead of 3; MicroSD, MicroSDHC, & MicroSDXC (had an upper limit of 4T for cards) but now there are 4 categories: MicroSD, MicroSDHC, MicroSDXC (the upper limit appears to have been reduced from 4T to 2T cards) & the new category is called SDUC = 128T. But at the moment Samsung only makes 512G MicroSDXC cards. But at the moment I would probably continue buying SanDisk's Extremely cards and may buy Lexar cards because appears to be the best for 4K and 8K recordings. Samsung says that,for example, that the S20 Ultra's MicroSDXC drive has a limit of 1TB But I'm certain on the research that I carried out in 2015 for my Moto G3 2015 phone where officially Motorola said that I could only use the MicroSDHC that was limited they said to 32GB was wrong. I am still using one of the 128GB SanDisk Extreme Ultra V30 cards that I purchased in 2015. Marshmallow 6.0.1 automatically formatted the card and storing Google's maps decided whether the storage should be internal or external. Do only problem was that Google prevented users from saving apps not being used onto MicroSD cards when not in use. Probably because they didn't wanted to place MicroSD drives into their phones. Probably so that as Apple force people to buy more expensive phones to obtain more memory. I suppose subconsciously another reason for making the S20 Ultra far superior than the Google's Pixel 4 Max phone. A properly programmed Marshmallow and subsequent operating systems would realease much more memory. The extra memory cam make photos much better and the camera could be much faster etcetera. At the moment, MicroSDXC cards for example are only used to save; photos, videos, audio including music principally. Instead of substantially improving; picture, video, audio, and games etcetera! Besides I suppose security updates and operating systems updates etcetera. Bought for camera principally.

What's the point realy?? 🙄 Why why why and why don't these big manufacturers just release a new model every 2 years from now onwards. We realy don't need a new handset or model every years. They are all just running out of ideas and just coping each other. Tbeir is just no point now they are just nit picking on each others looks. Leave it 2 years then at least that way each manufacturer can have plenty to build up and new features. No wonder sales have gone or going down. This is betting rather tiresome and stuipd. So I'm going to spend £800 on a new handset let's say spring this year March/April for then Samsung, One plus, heuwi to then release another handset 1 year later or in some cases now just under a year what the bloody point. So your £800 handset has now devalued around £200-300 already. As most folks will just sell them on ebay. Why do folks spend this money beats me and scratch my head.

s20 series look like the cheaper A series tbh with their new little curved screen, wait, is there a curved screen? I like the curved screen, it look stunning beautiful, but it's gone now. There is no much differentiation between A series and flagship phone, bad move Samsung. And for many country, u'll be getting exynos chip which is inferior but paying the expensive flagship price tag.

Samsung has shot their self in the foot by not including a 3.5 mm headphone's socket - Some people are so stupid! - I prefer to keep my QC20 Noise Cancelling Headphones instead of buying a S20 range phone! Just read a post below: I haven't done any research about processors yet. - Ripping us off in the UK with an inferior processor besides not including a 3.5 mm headphone's socket is another reason for not buying a S20 range phone!

@@ridingwithsam I picked on Samsung, because I shall be buying a Samsung's phone. Complaining to Samsung about their poor quality camera relative to the iPhone 11 Pro Max probably made Samsung improved the camera before launching the S20 Ultra. At the price that the S20 Ultra 128 GB version costs = £1,199.99 it should be the best in the world, and not just one of the best. I would have preferred it the S20 Ultra cost less than £1,000 instead of getting a free Galaxy Ear Bud+. Besides, I have a Bose QC20 that should be superior in a noisy environment than the Galaxy ear bud+ = £150.00.
