That boat sculpture you were looking at was a tribute to the founder of Buenos Aires (born in Burgos). Nice video!

Showing off your multifaceted talents, Andre! What a bonus that you can do all these things! Lovely video... interesting bridge, amazing Amazon, pretty yellow fields - canola? Of course the castle & cathedral are impressive, but those bare trees are so attractive too!

The trees are very interesting - they are Spanish Plane Tree from what we've learned and heavily pruned although they provide a lot of shade in summer. What's really cool is that small branches are woven with adjoining trees which eventually grow together in a single branch.

I also love those trees! Well, if you travel in a 20 year old campervan, you need to learn to fix LOTS of things! 😂

Wow, that magic of Amazon👌 Burgos looks like a real gem. I don't understand anything about those batteries, but my husband thinks it great 👍Hope it really makes your travel easier.🤞 Safe travels🤩🤩

Thanks Davida! Hopefully next time we pass Burgos we can spend a bit more time there. It's also on the Camino de Santiago.

Beautiful castle! That next place looks out of this world....I can't wait to see your trip into northern France. I am planning a trip starting in France from Australia and doing a smallish loop on Central Europe in Sept.... .. stunning content as always. safe travels :)

Thanks Sam! Sneak preview - apart from our first few days the weather in France has been fantastic! We first thought we'd breeze through France this time but we 're managing to get stuck a bit! 😋😋

Another great video! Bit of a mish-mash thematically but still equal parts interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing that setup with us. How's it working out??
@WeWillNomad2 жыл бұрын
Yes! Burgos was such a surprise and we would have loved to explore it in warmer weather. 😬 Alas, back then we were on a mission north. The bike battery contraption works brilliantly. We actually got a 2nd bike battery at a later point (for longer rides) and have used it quite a bit to bail us out when the solar is low.

What's it like sleeping in the camper in cold weather? Do you have any heating?
@WeWillNomad2 жыл бұрын
It's not bad as the insulation is good. We do have a heater system - gas powered boiler which uses an electric fan to push warm our to ducts opening in strategic places around the van. As it's a small space it heats up very quickly. The biggest challenge becomes managing humidity levels.

What month was it, given it was that cold.
@WeWillNomad2 жыл бұрын
it was the last week of April - perhaps we just got unlucky with such cold weather. 😬

@@WeWillNomad Wow, I stayed at a campsite near Burgos last day of September before getting the ferry back from Bilbao. It wasn't too bad then but would have expected warmer weather for April. Thanks

we also expected warmer weather for April! Next time.. 😀

@@WeWillNomad I spent the first nine years of my life there. It's one of the coldest towns in Spain. Even in August the swimming pools were almost numbing. But I love Burgos.
