Love your videos, but here are some helpful tips: 1. Your upclose camera work is too jumpy to watch, either move more slowly and consistently or just don't do the close ups 2. Your first video in this series was amazing and interesting because you explained what was unique or impressive about each table, you did not do any of that in part 2 or 3, and I was dissapointed. I built my own vpin almost 2 years ago, and I have added tables since I got it, and I have over 350 now. Your first video actually showed me some very unique tables that I had never seen, like Flipper Football, Gemini, Cartoons, Penant Fever, Star-Jet, etc. I was very excited and starting looking for those tables to add to mine. That was an awesome video!

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I hear you in regards to the “close up flyovers”. I just did them to get a quick glance at the table. I removed the voice overs as everything takes time and like most KZbinrs, it’s a never-ending case of diminishing returns. The average watch time on these VPX videos is 2-3 min. I just assumed, right or wrong, that if people aren’t even viewing the majority of the video and see these awesome tables, my voiceover wasn’t enticing them to stay. I do realize, very much so, that the reason people aren’t watching videos, is because the quality of my content needs to improve and be far more engaging. Being a 50+, overweight, bearded bald guy talking about retro-gaming and VPX isn’t exactly a rarity these days! 😁 I very much appreciate your comments/suggestions and am taking them to heart. I’m currently developing a new retro gaming series which I hope will be interesting enough to watch! I’ll be posting a trailer soon. Just trying to increase the overall production values and trying to make it something that you’d see on TV, with less bitchy housewives, hastily cooked meals, dancing, singing or shoddy home renovations. Stay tuned!

@@moxxichannel5950 Thanks for replying. BTW, I am also 50+ and overweight :) I am glad you received my comments in the way I meant them. I truly LOVE your videos, and my suggestions were to help them be even better, and NOT to criticize or be insulting :) tone is so hard in text. I actually downloaded, installed and played 6 tables from your video. I love the history of the old tables, and learning what made them unique. I was talking to a friend today, and mentioned your video, because it helped me to understand why so many people and websites featured these older EM tables. At first glance they seem basic and boring compared to STTNG, Tron Legacy, etc. By learning the story and significance of some of these tables, now I can truly appreciate and enjoy them. I played them a lot, plan to play them a lot more, and I am looking forward to showing them to friends when they come over. Thanks again for sharing these tables! If you have any other older or hidden gem tables, please do another video, and include your comments. Your thoughts, opinions, and reactions are a big part of why people watch your channel. There are lots of videos of just someone playing a table, you add something helpful, and important. Take care my friend

Great tables as usual brother. I dig your table setup man. I built an amazing gaming pc that I’m using for pinball, but I’m stuck with only a small 1080p screen. I have a custom backbox coming. Two screens, 4 speakers etc. I could use it perfectly if I was able to build a table top like yours. I like the openness of it. And I could finally bypass the 32inch 1080p playfield. Anyway, big fan of the videos , keep them coming. I use them to make lists of tables to get lol I actually am using a atgames table but with OTG mode , so running pinball popper off the pc I built. Once I grabbed all the Zaccaria tables off steam and added them to popper, there was no reason to use the atgames tables . It literally is just being used for the buttons and playfield to connect my pc too. Where is that ninja turtles table on atgames? I saw the logo, I have every table you could have on the actual atgames system and it’s not there. Do you mind sharing where you grabbed it from? It really sucks we are losing just great vpin resources. I have a subscription to one of the main sites hopefully to support and keep these things available. I have terrys pinevent versions of jaws , Halloween, and f-14. Really great tables. I literally want to go grab the other ones In your list right now, but tonight’s movie night with the woman.

Thanks man! It sounds like you have a very cool set up with the ATGames. That’s definitely the way I’d go, as I think I mentioned. I can’t remember where that TMNT table came from but I’d gladly share it with you - but, and it’s a HUGE BUT, my SSD crashed in July. So I’ve been VP less for almost 2 months. I’ve just been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to even shop for one. I did make a backup of my files about a month before it died (thank god I finally did!) so I’ll hook it up to my Windows laptop to see. Email me at moxximoxxi at gmail.com (remove spaces) and I’ll check into it. I had someone else reach out for tables but it’s been crazy.

Oh man I’m sorry to hear that bro. I run all my tables off m.2 drives. I swear to you on the drive with I don’t know a couple hundred total tables , pups everything I still have over 600Gb free on a 1 TB drive and I still have 2 other 1TB m.2 drives in the system. Then I have a 5 TB ssd but I’m learning pinball doesn’t use up that much space. I just added a ln amazing backglass to my system along with 3 amps Dayton bad shaker , 4 speakers and 4 Dayton exciters. Holy crap what a difference. Of course all my screen settings are a total mess right now. Gonna try again to fix them today. Lol

@@moxxichannel5950 hey moxxi, I’m new to the KZbin channel and finally got my what was once a atgames pinball table into a amazing virtual pinball table. Literally my last KZbin video of me doing the last of my sound mods, I took out the atgames pcb , and it’s wiring etc. even finally got my full 80’s hairbands rock groups art wrap for the whole machine. Anyway before I bother you to death, I basically shoot my KZbin videos in one shot which obviously makes quality suffer. I’d like to be able to record the game screen which I know how to do, but is there a software pretty much every KZbin person uses to edit their videos before uploading them to KZbin? Just wondering what your using. I’d lie to be able to record all 4 of my screens at once or atleast 3 of them. Just wondering what’s the best software for that situation. My pinball pc can handle it. It’s a ryzen 9 5900x with a rtx3090 and 64GB of ram lol and the answer is yes I went all the way down the rabbit hole. I’d like your opinion on what I did with a atgames pinball table to make it completely my own. On my channel the last video that says part 2 of my SSF is what it’s at today. It could change daily though so I can’t say the same for tomorrow lol Thanks for the great content and helping push me to wanting to start making my own videos.

How do I download the latest version of VPX 10? I am playing with my desktop computer.
@moxxichannel59503 жыл бұрын
That’s the spirit Gordon! You’ll want to check Nailbuster’s awesome “Baller Installer”. My SSD crashed this summer and I had to reinstall everything and I was NOT looking forward to that - but with the Baller Installer, it’s ALL there in one install (compared to all separate when I installed VPX the first time). Make sure to check out his video too! Good luck! nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=baller_installer

Great video, but I don’t know if I’m getting what you’re putting out. You say that pinball site closed because of people trying to sell cabinets and not putting their blood, sweat and tears into making it themselves if I’m correct. I have loved Pinball my whole life, I’m 60 years old, and I am buying one of those, as I do not have the desire to build one. People like me are contributing to keeping Pinball alive, everybody that expounds their love of pinball does that, and thusly makes the movement better. So what if cabinet builders make a profit, it’s a tough world right now, and it can’t survive by hobbyists alone. Once the last pinball table that is broken and you can’t get parts for, it is gone forever. I thank anybody that can help keep it alive. Just sayin’
@moxxichannel59502 жыл бұрын
First off, are you buying a VP cabinet or a real pinball cabinet? I’m not saying you shouldn’t buy a VP, go ahead and buy one. But do not pay one red cent for the software that runs VP or the games. That’s the issue here. The authors don’t make any money for their work and don’t want money; they take umbrage with VP sellers who include tables at an added cost, hence making money on THEIR hard work. That’s why it’s harder to find tables now and there are limits on daily downloads from reputable VP sites. My advice remains the same: buy the VP cabinet, TVs/Monitors, PC etc but install the software and cherry-pick the games yourself. When something goes wrong, not IF, you’ll have an idea how to fix it. Glad to hear you love pinball though! What an amazing hobby!
@EQOAnostalgia2 жыл бұрын
@@moxxichannel5950 The added cost is a crock, they're just salty someone is making money off their software lol. Nobody charges extra, they charge for the hardware and every site i have browsed so far says the tables they include are not their own, they are not responsible for them not being perfect or not working etc... etc... More tables for more pinball fans = better for everybody. The emphasis on HOBBY denotes that they begrudge those who want easy entry into something they take pride in building from the ground up. That's elitist, and not surprising because I KNOW the heart of man, and this is 100% ego lol. The "BUILD YOUR OWN" crowd exists in the PC space as well, when i first transitioned from console to PC way back in like 2011 i got a CRAP LOAD of grief from elitists because i wanted a prebuilt, and they still whine in 2022. Less so with the chip shortage. Fact is this, everything like this has its elitist crowd, and nobody is going to be more elitist than the folks who literally make the games for themselves and the cabinets they made lol.

If I wanted to find out more about your setup and how you have the system mounted and what's driving it, where would I look? Any way to contact you on facebook or elsewhere?

Hey Ryan, here’s my PC specs: Asus strix h270f gaming motherboard, intel i5 6500 , 8 gb of ddr4 3000mhz ram , 1 tb Seagate ssd drive, gtx 1070 8gb graphics card, evga 500 watt power supply - running Windows 10. To install VPX, you’d want to use Nailbuster’s Baller Installer which makes installation MUCH easier than when I first did it back in 2020. I have EG Starts arcade buttons wired up through its USB board. I literally couldn’t answer any installation Qs as it’s almost been 3 years and I’ve forgotten so much of what I did. I re-installed VPX a year and a half ago after a SSD crash but luckily the wiring & buttons was already done. I have the backglass tv on a wall mounted tv mount, the playfield & DMD TVs are on a piece of plywood laying flat on a Husky tool/drawer, while the buttons are in some pine boards that I screwed into the plywood. Very hillbilly-esque but it works until the day I build a cabinet. Hope this helps! If not reach me at moxximoxxi at gmail dot com - just remove spaces.

I can't get Pizzatime to run smoothly at all. Even turning all VPX settings down to minimum. I still get serious stutters here and there. I'm running a 4K playfield with a GTX1070 and nearly 300 other tables do work fine. And I've noticed with that particular author his tables hardly ever seem to be updated (still version 0.64 since release for Pizzatime).

Weird! I was running the same gphx card and a 4K playfield, 3 screen setup and PizzaTime was running fine - but my SSD crashed and now I have nothing. Gotta get that fixed…. If I ever get it back working I’ll play it again. I liked that table but the more I played it, the less I liked it. But sometimes it’s just because you really get into a table. I played Cyclone almost exclusively from April to July. I was trying to pretend I had one table and get used to it. Thanks for commenting! I hope you get it resolved!

@@moxxichannel5950 It's not weird, this is why so many opt for a prebuilt and i know you personally don't begrudge folks for that, but this is why, because an infinite amount of issues can pop up, and likely will, we're talking about PC's of varying configs... that alone is going to cause many issues. Then we add in the extra hardware and you can easily see how he has an issue, and you didn't and how many small things = a massive headache for the average person to set this stuff up, and i wish the owners of that site understood that. They wouldn't have shut down if they did.

I have to say it's total bs what that site did, just as it was when mod authors pulled their mods from Nexus because Bethesda created the creation club... the same bs ego trip. If you love your hobby, you shouldn't begrudge those who want to get into it but don't want to build something from scratch. The emphasis should be on preserving the love of pinball, old and new tables. Not on giving a crap about who shares what, those companies still have to build their cabinets and get all the parts working, programming it all so it isn't like they don't put in work. It's just salt, salt from people who want others to play Vpins the way THEY see fit, and if not, then they want to take their toys and go home... lol.
