Sid when using a formation Like Leverkusens the lm and RM arent meant to be players that cant defend Like for example you Singed adeyemi,they are bassicaly fullbacks with more attacking freedom.Players Like dumfries,Davies,frimpong,Grimado and similar should fill out those RM Lm roles

Like I think your entirely right … but for some reason I have this weird idea haha, there is no need to play 2 full backs … as long as one plays as a defensive full back and the other be more attacking in nature with little defensive duties… like ofc this would mean the center back in one of the sides would need to cover for the attacking … it’s possible as long as your center kids are more like CDMs ( fun fact Frimpong was called many times as someone defensively lacking and that’s dealt with Grimaldo ( he is defensively solid while also being good at play making) and their center back covering the Frimpong side … but the moment I saw Him taking off Grimaldo for Adeyimi and having baking on the other flank I immediately thought … he fucked up the team balance.
