Of course, keep the tree in exterior, receiving full light or as much light as possible. Water until water comes through the drainage holes just when the soil in the surface dries out, and fertilize it once every two weeks. Hope it helps.

I had deer eat (prune) my Frasier Firs badly this winter. This is the first time this has happened. Will my trees survive this spring?

Since we raise our trees as an agricultural crop, we are able to obtain a Crop Damage Permit to allow hunting in an expanded period than otherwise allowed, and this helps minimize deer damage on our trees. If the grazing is not severe, your trees will survive, but if you are trying to crate a lovely full shape, the deer activity will obviously impact that finished look. - Farmer Tom.

Are they pruned only in summer? When I want to cut a branch, where do I cut it so I don't kill it?

If the weather allows, we can do corrective pruning in the winter (Jan-Mar) so that the plant does not expend energy into buds that we wouldn't want growth in that area in the first place.

What type of fertilizers do you all use? High in Nitrogen?
@JonesFamilyFarms3 жыл бұрын
The type of fertilizer we use depends upon the needs of the soil. We take samples every year for analysis and then order the appropriate mix for the location and for the species. Nitrogen is often a high percentage component. - Farmer Tom.

The Christmas trees are pruned in summer after they have pushed out new growth. Depending upon the variety, that period of pruning can occur immediately or across several months as the fresh growth becomes woody. - Farmer Tom.
