On ya for streaming these races on KZbin! Absolutely love what SailGP has done... Fleet racing on foils at 50KTS with microphones so we hear the all the colourful language too, pure delight. It's great to see the Aussies getting a reality check this season; one bad race for Aus and the Kiwis could be in with more than a sniff.

Colourful language, throughout all three seasons you keep hearing the pommie commentator saying sorry for the language on the boats, as he refers to it as the Grimsby dockyard language. When most of the time you havn’t even heard what was said on the boats, he should just give it a rest. Both commentators are so annoying, trying to create hipe, listening to the American commentator makes it sound as if you are watching a WWF fight.

A fantastic day of racing, much more action than yesterday! Team NZ seem to have really hit their stride after a year finding their footing. But bravo Switzerland for their first win!

Great weekends racing !! , good to see more info being provided "on screen" during the race ... and inclusion of Knots vs Km/hr and also mph ... also would be fun to see some of the INSIGHTS data ...overlay especially during umpire decision etc ..also PLEASE give a summary of the SailGP INSPIRE racing too ..perhaps as part of the pre race info .footage/coverage ... 🤘😄

Can anyone explain why races are shortened ? In the second race, the race was shortened when Denmark was just 100 metres from the turning into the 6th leg. Is there a fair and reasonable explanation for reducing the exciting sailing ? More time is spent on media photo shoots and inane chit chat and interviews and not enough on the racing itself !

I'm not an expert so take this with a grain of salt. I believe the races have to be completed with-in a certain time limit (I assume this is because of broadcasting schedules). The race will typically start with all 7 legs, however, in light wind conditions the boats are a lot slower (especially if they cant get up on their foils) so if the wind does not pick up during the race, the race director reduces the amount of legs to make sure the race is over with-in a given time limit.

I think Spithill has lost his touch. Costly penalties and also doing an extra maneuver just to park the boat in heavy traffic. Should have split the course.

Jimmy Spittel needs to get off the boat. 2 over early penalties in 4 races. Major tactical mistakes. Boundry penalty, falling off the foils. The only thing he didn't do was sink the boat.

@@proffessorclueless Yup, I'm tired of watching them fail but I appreciate you don't need to win every race, just get to the final and then perform. Ainslee: great pedigree but seems to have lost it and no longer hungry enough. Who to replace though? In his absence in 2021 GBR worse with replacement skipper.

Ainslie seems to go back and forth between “brilliant” and “struggling”. In the 2015-16 AC World Series he was amazing, in the 2017 AC he got his butt handed to him by everyone else. When he started in SailGP in 2020 only Tom could come close, once the season restarted after the pandemic he started out strong but fell behind quickly and now his team is middling. He did really well in the 2021 AC qualifiers up until the Prada Cup final when Jimmy smoked him. When Ben is good, he is very, very good, and when Ben is bad, he is horrid.

Jimmy Spitthill should give someone else a chance. Since a few years ago when he made that huge comeback in the America's cup against Peter Burling - he's done nothing. Extremely poor starts in general and just making way too many mistakes. His sailing just seems immature.

I don’t know about “Nothing”, he set the Sydney-Hobart course record in 2017 and it hasn’t been bettered since, he was in the 2021 AC final and in last year’s SailGP final… he might have one last grand feat left to show us all before retirement.

Es cierto que en estos F50 necesitan mejorar más (mucho en las salidas) para alcanzar un nivel competitivo, pero están trabajando en ello. The aussies and kiwis have had the jump on most other countries with this style of racing give them a few more years and they will be up there
