Just FYI if you select a whole group of soliders, they can share ammo, so those guys in the trench if you had selected all of em, the ones out of ammo would auto resupply from the guys who still have ammo! Keep up the good work :)

Just click and drag to select a bunch of guys and theyll share ammo, if not press Y i think to make them reload and then theyll reload from their collective ammo!@@RichardJones-rx2iz

Gotta try Shift+1, Shift+2, etc… Group up your machine gun crews, your medics, your AT squads, etc. You will be able to cycle through the different groups way more efficiently and move your troops faster without having to hop around on the mini map. I say this as a complete noob lol I learned everything i know about this game by watching your videos. You will love the squad grouping system. I usually Take a minute at the beginning of each map to separate the squads into little units of MG, AT, etc. Even having the sniper bound to number is huge, you don’t have to go looking for them. i also seperate the squads into smaller teams, mg teams, assault teams (grenadier, smgs, at greandes) bazooka teams, etc. such a detailed game especially in conquest mode.

great positioning on your side. That airfield map is rough, so many angles they can sneak a field gun up on you. especially when eventually vision is lost. that 75mm would have done well vs a stuart or similar too. luckily that wasn't necessary, the open fields wouldn't have been fun.

It's a frustration in the Conquest defence missions that one has so little time to get setup before the attacks begin. 1. You firstly have to move your troops a large distance to the points you have to defend. Why if we're defending are our troops not already nearer the points? 2. In later battles with larger numbers of units you have to quickly dig trenches for troops and tanks. 3. Lay AT and AP mines. 4. Get troops, guns and vehicles into the various defensive positions. 5. Send out your scouts. 6. Ideally split squads so that the MG operator and his assistant and ammo bearer are together. 7. Find good locations for your AT guns and artillery. 8. Move your ammo crates next to your heavy weapons. 9. Split medics up and put them on hold fire and position them. 10. Distribute troops so they are not all clumped up or in one trench so easy prey for enemy artillery. All this is doable but I'm usually still scrambling to sort out the defence at the 2nd position while the 1st is already under attack. I'd rather encounter larger enemy attacks as a trade off for a bit of extra time to get the defence established. I find myself opting for tanks rather than AT guns for defence missions simply because there's less micro. I can tell the tank to go there and take position with one click. An AT gun has to be limbered. Moved. Unlimbered. Moved into final position. Deploy sandbags. The towing vehicle has to be moved to safety. Same with Tripod mounted MG's. They are really slow to move into position. These are defensive weapons. And they lose their utility when speed of movement is so crucial at the beginning of a defence mission. I have also noticed the USA using a lot of artillery in my conquest as well. My first defense round they had brought in 7 pieces between the 37s and the 75 howitzers.

I grabbed two pieces of US arty really early on in my wermacht no tank campaign and I kept them all the way to the end. Never needed anything else.

If it's the 50 cal, you can't sandbag it. As for the 76mm, I knew I would have to re-adjust position. The 3.7 cannon was sandbagged on the runway tho. Give me a timestamp if I missed something
