13:28 - Channel Four News that S4C viewers couldn't see unless they had a satellite or cable service (because it's replaced by BBC Newyddion)

I think S4C did air Channel 4 News when S4C was showing Channel 4 Programmes such as Richard & Judy , Hollyoaks and Brookside etc between the 2nd of November 1982 till March 2010. Nowadays people in Wales get Channel 4 which mean S4C only airs BBC Newyddion aka in English, News. But people in Wales don't mind having watching Channel 4 nowadays

When S4C showed the Welsh schools programmes it was slotted around the Channel 4 schedule. So when there was a repeat of, say, Stage Two Science, during the week (Monday, repeat Wednesday), they would replace the repeat with a Welsh programme of roughly the same length. They'd also replace a programme if it wasn't on the Welsh curriculum since England and Wales differed. Now fast forward to Autumn Term 2000! From then on all Welsh schools programmes were shown between 11:30am and 12:00pm on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! The half an hour of missed English language programmes on those days were shown between 9:00am and 9:30am on the following day! So S4C Ysgolion/Schools on a Monday and Tuesday started at 9:30am. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, it started at 9 to fit in the missed programmes from the day before!!

@@tvschools7860 Yes I seem to remember welsh schools programmes on S4C Digital (the channel didn't start until midday most of the time but would start at 11.30) the learn at 12 slot should have been broadcast within schools but that would mean schools would until 12.30pm

@@adultmoshifan87I live in Liverpool and Wrirral has no mountains so there was nothing blocking the signal (apart from the weather!) I was also located high enough to get a good signal! I could even get Central Television during the summer months, albeit a very bad signal! S4C used to be on channel 44 during the days of Cable but they got rid of it in summer 1996. Probably not enough speakers here. That was annoying!
