Hi, thank you for the video. My understanding is that COGS and COS are different. So predict. accnt. takes into account COGS values (which does not include operating costs like admin, freight etc) not COS (which includes the operating costs like Admin etc.) So the actual COS after billing would be different from the predicted COGS before PGI/billing, and the Actual Margin after billing would be then different from the predicted margin which was calc. at/before PGI. Would this be correct??

thanks for explain, but what about The costs of the quantity produced in a month are charged directly to the profit statement, while the profitability analysis is concerned with the quantity sold, noting that not all the quantity produced is sold in the same month. Therefore, the profitability analysis is incorrect?

Everything is reflected in margin analysis. It's 100% reconciled with Accounting. Even the Cost Of Goods Manufactured (COGM) is available in margin analysis. If you have a requirement to build a specific margin analysis report with COGM it can be done. Generally speaking: Margin Analysis reports are concerned with Revenues and the COGS related to these revenues, not the COGM

Very Informative. Nicly explain. I wonder in S4 HANA Marginal Analysis, how the the open sales order data would me map in account based COPA because their is no mapping for SD Condition type with value field as in Costing Based COPA previously. Thought this was a Gap in S4 HANA Account based COPA. But PREDICTIVE ACCOUNTING is the answer to my confusion, learn after watching this video. Amazing work Prof.Abdullah Galal.
