Newcastle United vs West Ham United 1:00 - suddenly there's penalty!! How come? What happened Dave? Who cares? It's despatched - Shearer!!! 1:52- Great block by....Warren Barton? 2:18 - OOh, surely he has to do better than that! 2:33 - What is going on? Bizarre. Players hiding underthe pitch?!! 2:48 - lovely finish there, top drawer. 1-1. 3:26 - West Ham with their tails up, constant pressure! Final score: 1-1. Norwich City vs Leeds United 4:11 -Ooh nice effort. Norwich looking pucker in their kit. 4:41- the wall there, doing a great job of blocking that free kick. 5:19 - Lovely finish to put Leeds 1 up, somewhat against the run of play. 5:35 - 2nd half and Leeds turning up the heat, shooting from distance. 6:12 - OOh, what a save by Martin there, superb! 6:34 - last opportunity for Norwich, and so close but no cigar. Norwich 0-1 Leeds. Blackburn Rovers vs Sheffield United 7:14 - Dave having a Chris Kamara moment, unsure which way each team is kicking! 7:18 - Tremendous shot, right out of the blue, unlucky! 7:50 - Oh no! Jag-bags, the ball flies up into the air and goes in. 1-0 blackburn. 8:23 - And...United are right back in it....1-1!! Ade Akinbyi - -I swear he has touched the ball more often than any other player in Game of the Day. 9:15 - and the comeback's complete. And what a goal by Sharp, one that deserves to win a game. Blackburn 1-2 Sheff Utd. Manchester City - Dynamo Nubbins 10:00 - early chance for Nubbins, but where was the City defence?...just 1 player there. 11:20 - all Nubbins here, Man City having to defend with their lives. 11:44 - City with their first shot of the game, but it hits the post. 11:56 - Oh no! Nubbins fannying around with the ball in defence instead of clearing it and made to pay. 12:16 - and there it is. 2-0. Man City home win 2-0.
