I picked up a GoPro head mount and got into the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe after a photo shoot. Here's a quick walk through. The most comfortable coupe I've had the privilege of driving. That isn't a night tint blue on the sunroof it's called Magic Sky Control and it can be turned on and off with the push of a button.

The "Blue roof" Named "Magic Sky Control" which is also build in the SL and SLC and Maybach, you can switch between blue and transparent. It's the Same switch.

Of course, people that afford those cars go on trips, at least in Europe and I see it happen in the US too, rich people have farms, farms usually are far away, so long trip. Then you have the client meetup, the store visit, most of these are made using cars, same with factory visits, most of the point B are very far from the airports, plus sometimes (most of the times) you have like 10 clients in a radius of 300km so it doesn't make much sense to go on a plane. Everyone that I know that has an S-Class (not necessarily an AMG, as diesel are the preferred version in Europe for long distances, plus the cheaper ones to repair and maintain) does at least 500 miles a week of highway, most visiting and going to several of their business and this in a 1000 mile long country (small), people in Germany, Spain, France, England, Sweeden certainly would do a lot more miles, Germany mostly, it's not weird to find a nice luxury car like this with more than 200k km racked in a pair of years.

Should I Get It Well that's a coincidence as I was close to Madrid (in toledo) 3 days ago. And it was on the road to there that I really noticed the amount of 5 series f10 (for some reason) and S class, I saw so many 5 series f10 (taking out the e60, if I accounted, I wouldn't do nothing more than counting cars), that I'm now thinking on test driving one to see wtf is going on with it. S class too a lot of them, one would think they are dirt cheap, and both w221 and w222.

There is a Volume setting Button (for Command) on the right side of the Touch Pad. It's Not the only Button on the steering wheel.

you can use the scroll button down in the console to volume up and down - if in radio - press down on it, then you are able to scroll up and down, in the E model there is a little scroll button aswell, wish they have kept that in the bigger option package

BTW, there's a scroll for the volume to the right of the mouse/ multimedia scroll thingy (brain fart). The moonroof actually has dims and brightens via some magnetic polymer in the paneled glass. It's actually cool to watch in action, also comes on the SL. The S coupe, S sedan and the SL all have magic ride which is a spin off the the notoriously problematic ABC suspension which is amazing when it works and cost a fortune when it breaks as it is a hydraulic suspension system. As for those type of people that has money afford those, some of them actually drive the shit out of them. We had a 2016 S63 amg sedan come in with 56k+ miles on it, went through about three sets of tires. Damn tires only last about 15-20k on those amgs, lol

Lol it’s called a magic sky roof. It has a Blue tint because electrical currents are sent through it too darkened the roof to keep out sun rays So it’s more than just a big blue roof. It’s amazing you get an opportunity to talk about a car that special and all you can say it’s got a big engine, cool screens and it sounds bad ass. That is an S Class Merc. Everything great about Mercedes engineering is put into that particular vehicle. What a wasted opportunity

Is the wheel smaller than that of the sedan? If so, then it's probably smaller to give the car a slightly "sportier" image and/or driving feel. It also gives you more room between your legs and the wheel, which is always nice. You don't need the extra mechanical leverage of a larger wheel, since the steering is light, like you said.

I've been dreaming about this car since the first time i saw it at the NY auto show. amazing. hows the suspension feel? i noticed the rims are pretty big. i like that. does the rim size (in your opinion) have much to do with the ride in this car from your experience

I believe this car comes with an air suspension system so the ride is incredibly smooth even with the larger rims. I drove a C300 with 19 inch rims instead of 18s today and that definitely felt a bit bumpy in comfort mode. Subscribe for that video coming out soon. Thanks for watching Jermaine!

Last comment, there's a Sport plus mode. Much better than the sport mode. In much more serious amgs, they carry race mode in like the SLS AMG Black Series or the AMG GT-S where they have active engine mounts that stiffen or comfort depending on the mode, change damping rates, shift points are changed and the active tune setting changes. awesome cars to be around everyday, :)

+Should I Get It Hey, correction to myself. The Pagani Huayra does not share the same engine as the S65, however you the engines that are in them are both designed and developed via AMG and are both based on the same engine M275. The new S65 have the M279 and while AMG developed the M158 solely for the Huayra's use. Had the look up the info in Star tech info to be sure, didn't want to miss inform.

I haven't driven the newest S class but I've driven newest Ghost from LA to Vegas and it was like riding a cloud, I wonder if you've driven any of these new Rolls and still think that S-class sedans ride is smoother to you?

Hi Ram, my statement does take the Rolls' into consideration but I have not driven them yet. I've been in one for just a super quick ride around the block and it is as comfortable but I can't say it's better than an S-class in driving comfort. TL;DR S-class is probably just as smooth if not just a tad under the Rolls.

I don't think the s65 is worth the extra cash over the 63, whether coupe or saloon. The 65 is ridiculously more expensive.

The reason is only the engine 65 = v12 63 = v8

The v8 is faster. There's no reason to get the s65 over the s63

Devin The V8 is quicker, the V12 is faster. The v12 has more power, more torque and is already fully loaded. The one thing the S63 has is better traction, this could be in the scenario of RHD countries because less wheelspin, or in LHD because of 4matic. A stock S65 would overtake a stock S63 at speeds over 80mph.

Sorry to burst the bubble of the S65 amg. I will admit that has an awesome sound and that it carry the same engine as the Pagani Huayra but it as far as tuning, there are far better tuning options IMO than the 65 through Brabus and Renntech. Please inform me if I'm wrong, state facts please. I'm certified dealer tech.

Brabus is currently by far the best tuner for the 65 AMGs. They have one of the highest reliabilities as well as highest power, being around 900hp. If you want more power, I think only SpeeDriven offers that but with Brabus you get a warranty.

Should I Get It a Mercedes is more exclusive than a Bentley????

+Gitonga Mwaniki I know it sounds crazy to say but the S Class coupe is. I live in the Bay Area, CA and see Bentleys at least once a week but see an S coupe maybe once a month. I've only seen two S63 Coupes. The one in the video here last year and another one just two weeks ago about an hour north in Walnut Creek. Very rare car.

There isn't but I think it said something about the brand as a whole right? Yeah of course MBZ is way more popular on the streets than Bentley but if you're buying a car of this caliber it's not for being flashy.

Didn't take it as one but thanks for clarifying. Yeah it does a great job of being silent and stealthy when needed but a roaring beast when you want it. It is fantastic!

David Wade The S 65 AMG has 630 HP. The S 63 AMG has 585 HP. So it's better if you only Look at the horsepower and if you like V12. For example: I Love V8 a Little Bit more than V12, But V12 are very good Engines. And the S 63 has 4Matic which garant a Bit more performance.

Well no but if you do look at it the R8 in most people's eyes stands out more the interior is still better than most other cars on the road...plus your really only paying for interior I mean to get a V8 nowadays is like 40k so I just feel like instead of going after the sticker price there is better options for that price just my opinion
