This video explains in very simple language one of the most common causes of lumps on the testicle. These cysts cause benign lumps of the testicle. These are very common cysts and are of no serious concern. Lumps on the testicles should not be ignored and if you feel a lump or are unsure than you must seek medical advice and see your doctor so further tests can be undertaken. Most epididymal cysts will not require any treatment. Large cysts which are causing symptoms or one that get complications will require surgery to remove it.

Doc. I have bin having symptoms in my urthera. The docs only gave me creams for the glans. I dont think creams will work. Ive done sti and uti testes everytning came back normal. I was diagnosed with epididymal cysts and now clearly see them. I've had extreme pain in my right testical and discomfort/heaviness in the groin area, my Dr actually thought I had epididymitis at first (not sure if I could have had the two at the same time). Most of the really bad pain is gone but I still get pain and heaviness that comes and goes. I have two questions, first is how big is too big of a cyst? One of them looks to be about 3cm long which I didn't notice before until this week. And second question is, is it normal to pee what looks like to be sperm after an episode of pain and heaviness? Seems to only happen when it subsides.

Friend In your case i think there is an element of underlying infection perhaps off and on. Size of the cyst becomes less important if it is causing significant symptoms and should be considered for treatment

In the last year I have experienced ED and had various tests done for diabetes and testosterone and all is well. Hi, Sir. I ve checked my testicles 2 years ago . For both of them feelt one lumps positions being similar for both: posterior to both testicles. After 2 years, seems to be same size, i was at urologist and he told me they are cysts , but seems to appear more of them to my right testicle on the epididim of it, diferent positions. I have a cysts on each testicle, they are quite large and seem to hide out of site, unless when in the shower or after ejaculation they show up and look like horns! I do not like the way they look and am seriously wanting to get them removed. I don’t get any pain, but feel a tightness in my scrotum sometimes! Overall, would you say the surgery for this is pretty straight forward and safe?

Friend Any surgical procedure comes with a risk of complications, however, surgery for these cysts in my experience is relatively straightforward. Main risk would be a chance of infertility. So I will suggest not to get both sides done at the same time

Hi Sir, I have a cyst from last 6 years, and from last 2 years I tried homeopathy medicine, but it didn't work. And now in the ultrasound it is showing vericocle too. Friend Yes you can live with both an Epididymal cyst and a varicocele if the symptoms are minor. Varicocele can increase the risk of infertility by 10 to 20 percent. So it may be worthwhile checking the size of the testicles on ultrasound and follow it up with a repeat in a year or two and also sperm count. I will do my best to do a video on varicocele this coming weekend. What was the size of your cyst on ultrasound?

Very helpful, I do need some answers though. I've had a hard lump on my right ball for about 7-8 months. Ever snice It started, my sex drive went lower, I dont wake up with morning wood. Causes a little bit of back pain sometimes. Im 20 YO, unmarried. Also it has not grown in size at all. Still small lump

I do not think that the lump is necessarily related to your sex drive. Of course you should get the lump checked out by a doctor and perhaps also a scan. For the sex drive your doctor might like to do a blood test to check male hormone levels. All the very best

Friend These tumours can develop in the tail, very uncommon in teenagers, usual age is 35 to 40. Benign (more common) very slow growing, malignant ( uncommon) can grow aggressively

The doctor said they will not make surgery before marriage because it's small and painless. But how long it could take time to get bigger and is there any way than a surgery. Cyst was diagnosed 3 years ago. there is a 1cm size epididymal cyst on the left testicle, 2 months ago the cyst felt painful, on the last day of the antibiotic the pain disappeared. but after a few days the pain returned in the other part of the testicle under the left testicle (epididymis tails), and the whole right testicle hurt. can the cyst fluid contain bacteria? and how can a cyst be infected when I have had it for years without a problem. and now both testicles hurt while the cyst has no pain.

@@MatMohammad friend, did the urologist say that you have a cyst on the right side as well ? It is most unusual for the cyst to get infected without any intervention. If the tail became painful but no cyst there then it is unlikely for the cyst to be the cause. If the pain is bilateral and localised on the epididymis then could it be epididymitis. Has your semen and urine been tested for infection and have you had a repeat scan?

Friend Any operation can have complications like infection, bleeding and obviously the cyst coming back. If surgery is performed on one side then risk of infertility is very low. If it’s performed on both sides then there is about 10 percent chance of infertility

@@Rey-sl5fg many secondary problems settle down once primary disease has resolved, same is true for secondary hydrocele. Wear a well supporting underwear hopefully it will resolve. Even if a small hydrocele persists it does not necessarily need treatment. I am not a massive fan of aspiration as it is only temporarily effective and can introduce infection
