She's a true MC and lyricist. Most rappers today will do the bare minimum that they can get away with; try to stretch out a track with the hook. Sa-Roc fills up the entire track with bars... even when you think she's done, she stacks more on top! Truly a rapper that spits because she has something to say instead of just having to say something. I love music and the message. Deep and insightful. This is where hip-hop needs to be.

Nah it's not so much what she saying.... It's her delivery ...and some of the phrases she uses .... Like when people say shine or anything about being a star.... Heard that song before..... Having a message isn't a bad thing.... Subject matter is a good thing.... But her music doesn't have that bounce.....like when your shit bounce it'll make waves As far as her delivery when I listen to female rapper's I don't really be into bassey hard talking women with low registers... In comparison to probably a doja cat or a Rico nasty or a Tommy genisis, city girls, Mia, azelia Banks.... They can do the aggressive sound but it still has the femininity to it....like yeah she can write bars but..... But she ain't no Lauren hill...she ain't no young M.A. ....she ain't no Rhapsody..... Aside from that the flow is a flow that's been used before...if you gonna stand out as a lyrical rapper and you not focused on the beats moving bodies so much ......you have to hit those other points of rapping in a way no other artists can or is currently doing it. other wise good alot if good writing concepts and metaphors that were probably hard to put together will just go to waste. And then you gotta think about her target audience... among backpack rapper's or people that appreciate the art form on a deeper level this like warm at best but it's part of the process of being an artist and making the best shit you can
@miekaford79265 жыл бұрын
Sad part is that you are making a statement about an artist you don't even know. Sis has been out longer then Kendrick and her flow has been perfected over that time. She been in the game for a little over 10 years.
@mauricionovae84845 жыл бұрын
@@miekaford7926I know you might like this artist... I'm not shitting on her but I'm just saying why she isn't where other artists are. it doesn't matter how long she been out...Or how hard she worked.. Time and quality doesn't always have a direct correlation But quality, consistency, and your roll out , how you present yourself as an artist does factor into how quick people jump on your music. ...it's a creative process and your taste as an artist has a major effect on how many people you can reach. Her flow is impressive.... but her delivery is lacking...she uses some cliche bars, and When I listen to this I feel nothing...it doesn't make me want to look up her other shit.... Which is the importance of quality control and consistency in your catalog. It is the artists job to grab your attention and make you love them over and over again. It will never be the listeners job to try to like you....their only job is to listen and decide if they like it or if they don't.

So fierce yet cool and calm. Perfect cadence. Perfect breathe control and the fact she can accentuate the words that seem to manifest power for me. She's eloquent no matter how fast her flow is even better licks when she's slipping it by quick. She makes sure to show inspiration to younger generations by speaking of overcoming all lifes hardships and even mentions thatyou can become brilliant with a less than ideal upbringing. She mentions female empowerment, femist qualities without influencing you to be like her, doesn't speak ill of those who hurt her but draws strong boundaries with her phrases like “went throughtoo much hell to not be fire but they still feigning ignant (ignorant). *Lada da da* now im finna pop off till these mental chambers empty” “I'm unbothered your standards are irrelevant” “if you tried to knock me down your demolition failed” etc show she's not one to be played with but she's not putting too much blame or talking about anyone but herself. Also just the fact you can sing AND rap is an awesome skill. She's so inspirational.

i don't think a working artist is the worst thing you can be. Most of the artists that don't get the recognition that their more successful peers get create the best music. Taking care of you and your family, having a loyal positive fan-base, and having artistic freedom and a degree of privacy sounds damn good to me
