For the same reason, I have been saying for 2 decades that academic education is not the equation of common/civic sense. Indian complex religious and cultural context is an example that proves my affirmation. Look at the gender discrimination, scarce female safety in Indian streets, dowry killing, domestic violence(physical or psychological abuse against the female gender) in Indian households, and the ugly reality that you are obliged to indicate your religion when you fill out your passport form. These are all symptoms of that uncivic Indian society😑
